Getting in early, According to my research these two are up next to go Father/Son in 2013
Thanks Dahl93. We are in desperate need of good news this week.
Are either of them any good?

Im trying to dig up some stuff I will get back to you Emma Quayle as I showed her the list I have said that Zaine Cordy and Josh Wallis nxt year are a big chance of 'making it' but dont hold her to it

My Brother had kids playing with the Cordy's and when Ayce got drafted he said that there's a better one on the way. That was a while ago but hopefully it's still the same. Know it's not much but any positives are good right?

I think that might be the one Ive read things to Suggest that Zaine has the goods

The youngest Cloke turned out to be the best... just saying :)

Bailee wasn't produced by Brian though

I assumed that Bailee was a Lake going by this, this photo hurts my feelings ImageUploadedByTapatalk1349788468.842765.jpg

Nah the oldest was produced by his wife's ex bf*... but Cohen (?) could be a f/s for us come 2025ish :)

* which is not to say Bailee can't be a good footballer

Doug Hawkins son wasn't good enough I take it?
Does anyone know what happens with players over the age of 18 and F/S, if they weren't in the National Draft?

One word for the Lake family, turncoats

Isn't is appalling that we have to rely on father-son picks to get anything out of future drafts?

Just as a matter of interest, doubt are there DNA tests done by the AFL on father/sons for qualification.
Are adoptive kids eligible?? Any one know?

Can't blame the kids for the sins of the fathers [ assuming there are any such].
Don't hold grudges, the only ones they hurt are the holders.

Lake's kids will not qualify as F/S's for the Hawks, so if they turn out any good, the're ours if they go F/S.
So guys, don't try burning to many bridges, there may come a time where you want to cross them again yourself.
Brian had a great association with the club, and it would be best if he was welcome back here after he retires.

I don't get why it is appalling. It shows that we've had quality servants previously at the club and their kids want to be there too.
It's not going to stop us drafting other kids either, and if the club doesn't rate the kid they won't take them.
Not appalling at all.

Looks strange to see Lake in Hawthorn get-up, but can't say I'm that pissed off.
Did people still expect him to sport a Footscray scarf?

Let's just hope the AFL don't take the F/S rule away. Which would be typical, let Geelong win a premiership off the back of one and crack it when we get lucky.

Demetriou spoke about exactly that point only a couple of months back!

Basically, the gist of what he was saying is that they would look at the paper work, if the kid had been adopted at age 17, then of course no f/s rule applies.

Otherwise there would be no issue with it.

Anybody know much about Josh Wallis? I'm under the impression that he's pretty good. I'm dreaming of having a carbon copy of Mitch around the club.

How old is Josh Wallis? Would be great to have another 1 of them around teh club :)

From the article DRB posted above, both Wallis and Cordy were 15 when Hunter was 17. So they should be available to us end of 2014...might tie up two of our high picks if they're any good, so guess we need to try for our power forward (Boyd) next year!

Gun. Playing for St Kevins at the moment.
