Geez...tough subject

ill do my best

#1 Korn - Predictable
#2 (hed) PE - Swan Dive
#3 Nine Inch Nails - Somewhat Damaged
#4 Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms
#5 Mudvayne - Severed

lots of honourable mentions to Fear Factory, Slipknot, Pantera, Dire Straits, Sevendust, Dandy Warhols and Grinspoon for songs which would also be worthy of a top 5 spot

This is tough, but I'll try.
  1. Whole Lotta Love by Led Zeppelin
  2. Paranoid by Black Sabbath
  3. Let There Be Rock by ACDC
  4. Alcohol by Gang Green
  5. Holiday in Cambodia by Dead Kennedys
    [/list=1]

These songs are not my faves, but they had the biggest influence on my musical tastes.

In all your posts regarding rock bands, that's the first time you've mentioned a group that I've actually heard of! :D ;)

LOL Rip - agreed.

1. Kiss - Detroit Rock City
2. Radiohead - Karma Police
3. Nirvana - Lithium
4. Kiss - God gave rockin roll to you
5. Dont know, too many songs from the Peppers, Gunners, Kiss so yea

5 favourite songs? Out of 1,000 cd's averaging approx 10 songs that would make a choice of 5 out of 10,000 songs! Impossible!

Bohemian Rhapsody would feature though, that's all I can say.

OK well this is my top 5 as of right now, it's hard to say but I'm sure it will change tomorrow, lol.

*California Girls - The Beach Boys
*Cry Baby Cry - The Beatles
*Bluebird - Paul McCartney (not to be confused with BLACKbird)
*What You Do To Me - Carl Wilson (OH yeah!!!!!!!!!)
*The Little Old Lady From Pasadena - Jan & Dean

What can I say, I'm in my own little world when it comes to music :D

To many songs to even try to sort into a top 5, but as above I will say that God only knows by the Beach Boys is without a doubt the best song. I had heard it 100's of times and thought it was a nice song, then one day it just hit me right between the eyes, it blew me away, I can listen to it ten times in a row and it never bores me, I have now heard it 1000's of times and it still sounds as great as that time that it first dawned on me how good it was.
I'm putting it on right now

Too hard but these songs would definately feature :

Bad Religion : Stranger Than Fiction.
Pennywise : Fight Till You Die.
Pennywise : Minor Threat(Cover).
Pennywise : Peaceful Day.
No Idea : Just Another Song.
Guttermouth : End on 9.
Mid Youth Crisis : Mid youth Crisis.
Fear Factory : Self Bias Resistor
Fear Factory : Edgecrusher.
Fear factory : Securitron.
Slipknot : Wait and Bleed.
Slipknot : Eyeless.

I agree with Savatage too many albums, too many songs and too many styles to not make it a head fukc

and also agree Bohemian Rhapsody would feature very highly if not at number one..total winner!

led zeps - stairway to heaven also has to be up there.probably my number 2

Foreigner - cold as ice might be another contender for song that brings chills to the bone too

I love em!! They were the first band i really liked. My dad liked em and i just loved em. I saw them on their last tour here back in november 1991...awesome...just plain awesome. Mark Knopfler is a musical god!!

I put on a Dire Straits record back in 1989 and the stupid guitar solo still hasn't finished........ :D

Oh, five songs....um.....

"Don't Dream It's Over" - Crowded House
"Don't Worry Baby" - The Beach Boys
"Shine On Me" - The Lucksmiths
"This Charming Man" - The Smiths
"Cronulla Breakdown" - Pernice Brothers

What the heck, another five....

"Photo Jenny" - Belle and Sebastian
"Reprends Toi En Main" - Velocette
"Christiansen" - France Gall
"L'anamour" - Serge Gainsbourg
"The You And Me Song" - The Wannadies

Hey for those amazingly tasteful posters who mentioned 'God Only Knows'...........ever heard the a capella version??? It's quite breathtaking. Agreed though, it's a brilliant song. I personally rate 'California Girls' as the Beach Boys' best but that's just me. :)

Hard to pick five out of so many, but here's two for starters:

Scorpions - Sails of Charon
Rainbow - A Light In The Black

The other three could be any of a hundred more.
