Sorry Shinners my line of thought was of track. Westy i dont mind powderfinger (cant stand Chisel, barnes voice irritates me, though some of Moss's songs are good) and hope they continue to succeed. Oh and to ever mentioned Husker Du, you got it right, now there was some CRANK lol

Speaking of Husker Du, Bob Mould is singing on the new 6ths album (Hyacinths and Thistles)...his voice sounds so different to how he sang with Husker Du and Sugar. It's like a baritone...really deep and rich sounding, but sounding like a broken man. Better clarify that....in the first 6ths album, Stephin Merrit asked all the singers to sound bored. We think that with this album, he's asked them to sound like people who are down and out on their luck.

Oldies like Dire Straits, Knoffler is the greatest guitarist in the universe! Beach Boys, Floyd, Stones, Bob Dylan, The Doors!!, Lennon and McCartneys solo shit after the Beatles, ELO, Hendrix, Joe Satriani, Santana.

Other alternative rock stuff. Grinspoon, Blink 182, Fuel, Lit, Green Day, Ben Harper, Alex Lloyd, Crowded House, U2, Marcys Playground, REM, Jamaroqui, Cranberries, Hootie and the Blowfish and a whole lot more.
