i remember the days when fudd would pick the up anywhere in the forward lines and you stand up start celebrating before he'd even kick the thing just knew it was a goal, but lately the man wearing number 32 would be my fav best captain in the AFL IMHO.

welcome Jonster...... ....good point about DJ.......in his prime, if he got the ball forward of the centre square with 10m in front of him - he was a monty to slot it.........look up "Poetry in motion" in the dictionary....there's a photo of DJ running to the fifty on the non-prefered...!!.....

ok I didn't want to pick one but here goes my list anyway

any south player - that's a given!

we have a nigel bear and a teddy modra in my parents house (well they now sit in my mothers premiership replica cups)

gotta also add the players taught by my dad - the Jarmen brothers, Vardy and Welshy

I tend to have soft spot for the backline players - especially the unheralded ones like Caven, Bassett, Edwards and co

Plus one of my prized possessions is my crows scarf with this young 17 year old signature where he printed his name instead of signing, he's an okay player by the name of ricciuto

my little sis has a guernsey with 44 on the back and one time in the shed we were goning round getting it signed and the amount of comments from the other players about Cavo having A fan was funny!

Plus comment of 98 GF goes to my little sis (we had large block of North supporters next to us and the first half they were yelling at us "get cavo off, he's useless" in the last quarter my little sis stood on the chair (she was about 4 feet then!) and yelled at them "Get Carey off, he's useless" - deathly silence could be heard from the North supporters on that comment! Great day

I think the appeal of Cavo was that he was workman-like in his approach and very unassuming. He came to us as a forward from Sydney but his reincarnation by Blight as a CHF was a masterstroke and the making of what was threatening to be only a mediocre career.
Those North supporters on GF day were very easy to throw off their game. It's easy to see why they struggle for membership....they just dont seem as passionate.

Not the brightest sparks of supporters I agree MD and interesting enough most of victoria was kinda hoping the crows won as the kangas are very hated in victoria! Couldn't believe the comments we were getting on the street in support of the crows
