Favouritism is Dees Challenge

HEADING into a match as clear favourite for the first time in years will bring new challenges to a developing Melbourne side, according to sidelined youngster Cale Morton.

Pretty much what we are all thinking but they can say they won't take Richmond lightly but I won't believe it until they do it.

Some very positive and exciting news to go with the article is at the bottom of it.

Morton, who is expected to return from a knee injury through the VFL in two weeks, confirmed Colin Sylvia would play his first game for the season after suffering a broken jaw in the NAB Challenge loss to West Coast.

Here comes Cale.

Grimes setting up from half back.

Scully and Trengove in the guts.

Morton screaming down the wings, that's the future.

I don't think it will be as much of an issue as some think, we have a number of high picks who are used to being in the spotlight, better than others & expected to perform. We also have mature players who can see the the light at the end of the tunnel & are showing the will to win. They are leading the younger players well.

I know we have had this issue in the past (See Carlton x 2 in 2006 + others) but i think this will not be a problem for us tomorrow. What might be an issue is playing a team with nothing to lose & a reason to fire against us - pride a spot in the team. But for them ability will be lacking.

I think we will win & I don't think be because of their lack of skills but rather our doesire & ability.

BTW great news about Morton!
