Fear for 2006

That the bat will dominate the ball to such an extent that too many games will be draws or even worse won by teams batting last when the opposition declare in the 3rd innings.

I didn't look at all the pre-season games but most of those that I did see were run fests & now the current game on a normal wicket is proving no good for the bowlers.

Everywhere I look batsmen are filling their boots & the run rates are going through the roof.


Where's the balance, we want to be able to bowl teams out for about 150 occasionally & for 300-380 to be a normal score(certainly on a normal wicket anyway).

I think all the bowlers should withdraw their labour until a proper balance is restored.
 
I ran about 10 trial games with the new averages and didn't get even one draw. A couple of times on batters wickets it got very close though and there were some 3rd innings declarations, although that team never lost after declaring. I think the new averages are much better than last year. :thumbsu:
 
Yea, especialy leg spinners. They need their averages bringing down.

And after all, they provide more entertainment with their variety and quick over rates so deserve to be rewarded.........don't they? ;)

So you got the bowlers stats lowered from 25 to 20 and you're still complaining.

Watch Kapow lower the stats to 10 ;)

Virtually every game I've looked at as been a run fest, as I said I haven't seen them all maybe it's just coincidence.

There's people like Armageddon & Sexiano Ronaldo who are hitting tons every innings with no stats boost.

If it all works out then fine but if there's a lot of 3rd innings declarations then that's sh*t.

Not that i know who armageddon is but any proposition to get rid of sexiano is a good one.

Your just some guy who is on a fantasy cricket team like the rest of us, dont pretend you are the god of this league because to most poepl your just some w**** who thinks that because all of a sudden batsmen are doing well you cry like a girl.:rolleyes:

I'd love prove you wrong and skittle you, but being on the same team makes that a bit difficult.

You expect alot of the captain, let him make the decisions, worry about making runs and he'll keep his end of the bargain. DE needs leadership if you really wanna exert some leadership muscle. Until then, get in line behind the many successful leaders that the Allies houses.
