He's the only other player than Fed-Ex that I call a great 'tennis player'. Strategy, Power, Athletic and is still very good at the weakest parts of his game, which you can't say about Roddick, Blake, Nadal etc...

Can anyone see him beating Federer? Fed's got him covered on pretty much everything, and Gonzo's not the best when it comes to 4+ set matches. Hes awesome to watch, but I really doubt he has a chance.

Geez, after Gonzalez's 6-1 6-3 6-1 hiding of Haas following his straight sets demolition of Nadal, yopu'd think he'd certainly be a chance of upstaging Federer on Sunday night.

However it's so hard to predict whether he can upostage Federer as Federer knows how to turn it on against in form players at the right time and is an incredible player. His demolition of Roddick was sensational and shows that he is in the same peak form as Gonzalez.

Sunday's final would be interesting to say the least.

A lot of people are intimidated into submission by the aura that Federer has before the match starts, hopefully Fernie won't succumb like that. Here's hoping for an epic.

I hope its an epic. Unfortunately some Fed fans on this site will open a can of whoop ass on you if you dare say one word that sounds like you doubt him.

Just because you think a player will have a chance of beating Federer does not automatically imply that Federer is crap and you are rubbishing Federer.

He is now top 5 isn't he and in the form of his life. Blake, Hewitt and Nadal are real scalps in a slam.

OK he was never going to beat Federer but he did come within a whisper of taking a set which is more than any other player could do with Fed on fire and away from clay.

Number 1 is impossible as long as the meister is there but number 2 is there to be shot at if he can carry his form into north America especially with Nadal seemingly allergic to finals when not on clay.

He brought some action and intrigue into the Open which otherwise threatened to be an exhibition of the master's dominance - which of course it was - with no other player even figuring.
