Murphy and Stevens very stiff, but I'm perfectly fine with them not being named, no risk of injury that way.

wtf is thomas doing there? i was at my mates place the other day ago and they asked me who would i rather in my team between murphy vs pendles and thomas and i said murphy is better than both of them and they honestly beleived that pendles and thomas were better and i was in shock and didnt no wat to say

Adelaide 7 players (all in dream team) Brisbane 7 players (3 dt, 4 Vic) Carlton 2 (BIG V) Collingwood 8 players (3 DT 5 VIC) Essendon 5 players (1 DT 4 VIC) Fremantle 2 players (all DT) Geelong 12 players (4 DT 8 VIC) Hawthorn 5 players (2 DT 3 VIC) Melbourne 1 player (jeff white VIC) Kangaroos 2 players (Both VIC) Port Adelaide 4 (all in DT) Richmond 3 (1 DT 2 VIC) St Kilda 6 players ( 3 each team) Sydney 4 ( 3 DT 1 VIC) West Coast 5 players ( 4 DT 1VIC) Western Bulldogs 4 players ( 2 each team)

With the lack of many real key forwards in the Vic side you would think Fev would be in the actual side and of course if Judd wants to he would be an automatic.

THE ONES HIGHLIGHTED... VERY VERY ORDINARY SELECTIONS!

http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/sport/afl/story/0,26576,23540615-19762,00.html

BRENDON Fevola has emerged as Victoria's key attacking weapon against the All-Stars, with injuries and suspensions set to rob the team of forward options.

Fevola will be named today in a 40-strong Victorian squad for the May 10 clash at the MCG.

While Fevola's indifferent 2007 for the Blues meant he would have struggled for inclusion, his recent good form and injuries to Matthew Lloyd and Barry Hall mean he looms as the Victorian full-forward.

Hall will miss because of a broken wrist and Lloyd is battling soft-tissue injuries, while the All-Stars will be able to choose from forwards of the calibre of Lance Franklin, Matthew Pavlich, Chad Cornes and Nick Riewoldt.
Fevola and Victorian captain Jonathan Brown loom as the full-forward, centre half-forward combination.
Victorian selectors met late yesterday to confirm their squad, which will be released mid-morning.

It comes as Carlton confirmed yesterday that its drawcard, Chris Judd, was happy to play for Victoria.

Blues football manager Steven Icke said Judd's troublesome groin was in good shape.

"I haven't spoken to him but I am assuming he wants to play. It is going to be a very big game and it will be the best versus the best, so why wouldn't he want to play?" Icke said.

"He is getting back to the top of his fitness, and as you can see from the weekend, to the doomsayers out there who say his groin is no good, you don't finish off a game like that if your groin is sore."

Despite Melbourne's dismal season, several of its players are expected to be named in the Victorian squad, with all clubs represented in the mix.
A raft of Geelong players is expected to be included in both squads, which will be reduced to 30 players on May 4, after Round 7. Players not initially included in the squads can gain entry at this time.

if murphy continues playing the way he is he could be pushing for selection and maybe even stevo, especially if he plays how he did against the dons in the 1st half

There are a surprising number of average players in that list. You can be assured Fev and Judd will be selected, and they'll provide the quality core of the side. The Vic side should be able to carry a few token-Collingwood-ordinaries, the appease the ticket paying Collingwood faithful and still win easily. :)

In my opinion, they've just named 40 players based loosely on last seasons form/this seasons for so far.

There'll be plenty of changes come the final cut off date.

My question to you inter staters is who will you be supporting on that day. There are no representitives for Carlton in the All Stars game, yet we have our most important players in the Victorian Team... hmm interesting day for you guys i would imagine...:thumbsu:

Just glad we don't have that many in the team, it allows rest and prevents unneeded injury in a match that is just a spectacle.

Hopefully Juddy and Fev come through uninjured....Judd should put a condition on his inclusion...25% game time please!!

Good inclusion...they really need somebody who struggles to play in the big games....maybe he might recapture his GF form!!! :D:D

I can't believe how much Collingwood supporters over-rate this bloke. #1 downhill skier if the AFL.

Well at least we're not seeing 30 Geelong players like in the All Australian team...

I think it's pretty good. If I had to choose 2 Carlton players, Fev and Judd would be them. As if Lloyd was gonna get picked ahead of Fev though. Last thing the AFL needs is Lloyd going dive after dive on the biggest stage in history.

i agree don't Play em the whole game just rotate em on and off the bench even if fev dosn't play a full game need to protect him from any injuries like wise with juddy
would been better if we didn;t have any a way to avoid any injuries
least to our senior Players
