Surely, with the Coleman Medal in reach, he would play.

He may never have a chance to win such a medal again, and you'd like to think a broken finger wouldn't stop you from playing.

His options, according to TFS, is have surgery and miss a month or so.

OR play with injections and strap it up.

We have to remember his wife is expecting a baby in the next day or two as well, so I'm beginning to think he will miss Saturday.

If Fev doesn't play, can we still win?

I think we can. Waitey back in (yes I know he has missed 6 weeks or so) should step up if Fev was to miss.

I am saying a little prayer that he will play though!!!

I'm hoping Bryan and JK will step up, surely players such as Scotland will HAVE to kick it to them if Fevola isn't looming large in their eyes.

In all honesty, who are the Bombers going to match up against our forwards?

Fev (if he plays), Kennedy, Waite, Fisher, Betts and Wiggins. They don't have the players to put on our guys! I am sure Bryan will run into the forward line as well at some stages.

I cannot see Essendon matching up well against us at all. :o :D :thumbsu:

If Fev's wife is giving birth today.. I know in my situation I'd be such a proud dad I'd play taller, stronger than I ever have!

The adrenaline of it all will hopefully pump him up sooooo much he'll be a rampaging beast and show us the Millenium game form and kick 12+

GO BLUES, crush the bombers make them beg for forgiveness.

According to the Footy Show tonight Fev has broken his right middle finger and may not play against the bummers. Anyone got any inside news?

We always want him to play, but we do have some options if he doesn't. My first thought would be to play Lance up forward, leaving Walker or Thornton to play on Lucas. Then you could rotate Fisher, Waite, Kouta and Wiggins out of the goalsquare to try and get the right matchup.

He'll play. According to Kouta tdy it was just a dislocation. Accurate??
Any more news on the subject???

Just heard on SEN that Kouta said, Fev has only dislocated his finger and will be fine once its taped.
Apparently his baby is on the way today, "here's to a boy", Fingers crossed.

remember Fishers first game back when he kicked 3 in the first quarter? Waite will be fine
Though unlike Waite, I'm pretty sure Fish played a few weeks in the 2's. Still, not to worried about Waite, and seeing as Fev will almost certaintly play (if he misses it'll prob. be because of his child rather than his finger) its not a big deal. The club won't bring him in underdone.

Which game was that? Didn't do a lot last week & started on the bench, where Waite has been named.
