Great game by Fev and he did seem as though he was playing for the team (apart from one ridiculous attempt when he had free players everywhere) but why did he celebrate his 8th goal the way he did? The game was over and the Blues were dejected yet after he kicked his 8th it seemed as though he was not concerned about this at all and was just wrapt to get his 8th goal for himself. Even the Blues supporters sitting in front of me said "ffs Fev we have fking just lost why are you celebrating". Mind you these are the same guys that got up and bowed everytime Judd went near the ball so it is hard to take them seriously.

yr a joke......the celebration was mild compared to earlier ones......and not five minutes early he ran into open goal only to hand-ball over to Gibbs....gee yep really thinking of himself!
Post a thread of worth wank!:thumbsd:

This doesnt look good coming from an Essendon supporter but I completely agree. I switched over to watch some of this match during the breaks in the swans brisbane game to see Fev celebrating. A fairly subdued celebration, granted but really...... the right thing to do in that situation is turn and walk straight back to position.

You can't be serious. When Fev kicked his 8th, Carlton were only something like 16 points down and there would have definitely been time to snatch the win.

A great example by Fev was when running into an open goal, maybe 15-20 meters out, he handballed it to Gibbs to kick the goal. I thought that was a great act by Fev. He had a fantastic game last night :thumbsu:

I'd be more worried about Lloyd, he'll kick it from anywhere. even an impossible angle, very rarely/if ever i see him palm it off to another player. Thats selfish.

How about the time when he had the ball 10 meters out from goal and a chance to kick his 9th. He hand balled it to Gibbs now that isn't selfish if you ask me.

How about all those goals he kicked from 50 when he could have passed to a teammate closer to goal?

Selfish for sure.

True, but I don't think the OP was critisising him for being selfish the whole game, he just found it a bit much that Fev was celebrating his 8th goal when his team clearly had no chance of winning. I tend to agree. When your team is clearly beaten the right thing to do is just walk back to your position for the next bounce.

I think that's proof that Fev is the best kick outside 50 M in the league for goal, bar none.
I'm actually pleased he had the confidence to back himself and shoot it from there, not be a soft c%k and pass it off.

He kicked his eight goals, he did his job ...

If he kicks 8 every week they won't care if climbs the goalposts after each goal. Played terrific. In relative terms for him, and in response to recent events, seems as though he is trying to get his head on the right track at the moment.

Fev is a loser and like all losers he infects those around him.

He is the Fevloa virus.

Agree, some people like to only focus on the negatives!

Ridiculous thread. Fev had a cracking game and even bothered to chase and tackle - he had every right to celebrate

Shit thread.

Just on Fev's game last night i think the 2 most exciting things he did for the night from a blues perspecive were:
1. The hand ball ever to Gibbs when he was running into an open goal.
2. When he marked the ball on Michael yet the umpire said that he pushed michael out. He didn't argue, he just gave the ball straight back to Michael. Then proceeded to chase and tackle the bomber player forcing a turnover that resulted in a Blues goal.

More of this from Fev and i am sure all blues fans will be happy.

seeing parallels between fevola and tony lockett. great full forwards capable of winning colemans as their sides only avenue to goal. however side finishes down the bottom so more chance of wooden spoons than premierships. its not fevolas fault that many of his teammates are garbage.

Yeah but he already earned his bonus for kicking 8 in the match - he just wanted to make it look like he was a team player. I was surprised Gibbs didn't get flashbacks of being so close to the goal umpire and muff the kick. Definitely geting more courage about him, now he just has to overcome his Milne fear...
