I, quite honestly, see the upside. A forward kicking 50 - 60 in a season is what we have been lacking since Pav went into the middle. 25 goals or thereabouts the best effort from any forward this year...Thats just over 1 a game - is poor. As for our players feeling disenchanted about the possibility of incomers..well I've been bloody disenchanted for a number of weeks about the lack of heart and effort by a number of them and not just in the last 7 weeks (Richmond springs to mind). So they best just get their heads down and erses up.

Fev's had a lot of chances. But he didn't seem that interested in football when he went to Brisbane. A year in the VFL seems to have got him motivated. And motivation is one thing we need. I'd take him

Wouldn't touch him - risk is too great, especially if the ball and chain will not leave Melbourne like happened in Brisbane.

BUT has he actually got off the canvas enough for a Melbourne club to pick him up? Would need to be rock hard fit and doing a lot of good things for Casey ATM for anybody to even consider it given his age and his past. That's the only real question, he's not going to leave Vic again (you'd think), and the goldfish bowl of a Perth/Adelaide based team would be the last thing he needs. If he is 'recovered' enough then you've got to look at which clubs that might find value in taking a risk with him. In answer to that question, WB are the obvious one in some ways to replay Baz, Richmond and Nth would be the next most obvious. They don't desperately need a power fwd, but I could see Fev doing some genuine on-field good there. I'd put Carlton in that group too, but they wont be going back to that well any time soon.

All said and done, I think Fev's just pissed the AFL career all away and it's just a bit too late to do anything about it unfortunately for him.

An 18-21 year old yeah, but Fev's a fully grown man. I drink often, and a lot, and I can't remember the last time I threw up on alcohol.

So either Fev is a complete lightweight (which I doubt) or he hasn't advanced past the teenager stage of going ridiculously hard on the piss till you obliterate yourself beyond comprehension.

The fact he does this out in public when he knows his career is hanging in the balance tells you all you need to know about him. No self-respecting club will go within 100 yards of him now.

I'd have them everywhere around all nightspots that involve alcohol. The more wannabe heroes who like to king hit people we can catch with these things the better.

If the price to pay is the odd celebrity copping a bit of embarrassment for a spew I can live with that. If you don't do anything wrong the worst you have to worry about is some low level employee watching you having alley sex with some nightclub skank.
