I wanted Fev last year, but it would never happen now and I wouldnt want it too. Fev might kick straight but wouldnt get a kick anymore at AFL level would take too long to get up to speed and I doubt his body could get him too it.

Fev mght be a fat blubber brain but he can kick much starighter than Cloke and Dawes
That's not the point, he's not the difference between winning a flag and not and even if he was his downside is horrendous.

Think of the damage he will do to our reputation which we have worked very hard to rebuild.

I've lived through our premiership droughts, born in '54 I was too young to know of the '58 flag and lived through decades of 'Colliwobble' rubbish from all and sundry. Finally '90 gave me the flag I craved and then I had to go through another 2 decades of failures until '10.

I have more reason than most here to crave a premiership at any cost but not at that cost.

The cost of taking on Fev is far too high for me.

Loss of the clubs self respect and reputation is too high a price to pay for a premiership.

But your current forwards are the worst in the competition??

Fev has kicked 100 in the best local competition in Victoria.

He is a far superior footballer than Chris Dawes

He's a ratbag and poison to any team - he was given a second chance and spat in their faces.

NO a thousand times NO

I would have thought a shinboner would have understood about team unity and culture but apparently there are some exceptions.

Very good point.

Team unity is struggling at the moment down at Westpac centre. Is there truth in the rumour Heath Shaw called out Trav cloke the same day Swanny got suspended

Well that's finished it for me if you want to be a smart arse fine but I'll ignore you from here on in.

Except he is fat and lazy and can't play anywhere else besides FF. And how long since he played at ALF level?

No way Fev's game will suit AFL anymore, the days of a FF with no defensive pressure are long gone. Fev would get so badly exploited going the other way any goals he did kick would probably be nullified by teams running off him.

Honestly can't believe (some) Pies supporters are even entertaining this idea. You have Cloke and Dawes who while out of form atm have the potential to be a very dangerous duo. Dawes was very good before he hurt his thumb last year (I think it was last year) and has never looked the same, who knows what a good pre-season will do for him.

I would think you guys would be better off putting more time into getting a ruck/forward to free Dawes up from playing in the ruck where he isn't much chop imo - guys like Mcintosh or maybe even Griffin from Freo(while not a true forward/ruck, a decent ruckman who could free Jolly up a bit), especially considering Jolly is close to retirement.

Then get a good pre-season into Dawes, Cloke (if he stays) and any other young KPF's you have and work on improving the delivery to them, this to me is a more viable option then gambling everything on a seriously overweight has-been with no finals history and serious personal issues.

Get Fev. If we had him last year we would have been premiers. Gun forward on the cheap. Its a win win for us.

Doubt will happen though. We are fast becoming the nany club of the AFL where a bloke cant even have a beer.

I'm just rendered totally speechless by the continuing belief by some that a fat, washed up, walking, talking disaster area could ever be considered by anyone as any type of an asset.

Absolutely and totally incredible
I have a theory that some people, instead of developing our own over a year or two, want instant gratification; they think they can get that by drafting that log Fevola and that he will be an instant success and win the Coleman in his first year back
Of course it is more likely that if we drafted him, between round 1 and round 2 he will drag two or three of our young players off to a night club somewhere and get them totally wrecked.

We have enough problems with players and recreational drugs, we dont need Fev to come in and show them how its done.

Thought you said we would have won with Leon in another thread. Are there some other magic potions up your sleave (well that aren't in our list, which seems to be the pre-requisite)?

Seriously, is Fev as good as people can do? Surely we could find someone fatter, lazier and more likely to bring discredit on the club than that lump of lard.

We have to have a contingency plan if Cloke leaves. We will only get a 1st rounder for him(Cloke) and depending on how high we finish it most likely will not be in the top 10.If Fev costs us nothing, we have the facilities and fitness staff to get him up to speed if he starts now for next season. We need to chase a young forward like a Charlie Dixon,Gold Coast can't keep all their talls.Fev would be a stop gap for a couple of seasons while a young forward comes on, and Paine gets some games into him.I reckon we wouldn't skip a beat with the quality of our midfield.Don't want to end up like the bulldogs with no one to kick it to.

Ask the Carlton and especially the Bears administration what they think you can do with your assessment
