just got this suggestion of another carlton forum
what do you guys think
is it unrealistic,

Fevola + Sam Jacobs + 3rd Rounder for Walker + Knights + 1st Rounder?

not a bad idea considering there have been mumours about knights wanting to come home

Taylor Walker and Chris Knights from Adelaide
well i think thats who his on about

Not the worst trade in the world, although I'd prefer to keep Fev

Walker, kreuzer and Waite would be a well spread and unpredictable forward line. Plus we would get 10 years of service from Walker and they would only get 3-4 years from fev.

But although a massive w***er...I love Fev too much

Also, their first rounder would nab us Big Bad Benny Griffiths

Walker is a young very talented tall forward and Knights is a HFF/Midfielder that is quality and kicked over 40 goals this season i think.
Geez, must have my head buried somewhere. Haven't heard of either.
Thanks to you both.

Please stop posting this complete rubbish.

Do you honestly think that Adelaide would trade their first-rounder, a potential champion full-forward in Taylor Walker, and a very good flanker in Chris Knights for two or three good seasons from Fevola and a handy back-up ruckman?

Spare me.

The best FF in the comp that could snag them a premiership??

We can win a flag without Fev, you keep him. Plus it's never going to happen, we don't need any more rucks, and you've seen our fowardline is capable enough. No thanks.

Adelaide would never consider this trade. Fact.

With a bit more time to develop, Taylor Walker may well become the best FF in the comp for the next decade. Their forward line is fine, Fevola wouldn't greatly improve it. In fact, the best part about their forward-line is that it is versatile and multi-faceted, with players such as Knights, Burton, Porplyzia, Tippet, Walker and Hentschell all capable of kicking bags. If anything, Fev's dominating presence in the 50 might stifle this versatility.

Adelaide wouldn't even do a direct swap of Walker for Fevola, let alone having to throw in Knights and their first-rounder.

Adelaide would not touch. A first round pick, a very talented midfielder-forward that is capable of 40+ goal season and Walker who I believe could develop into one of the best, if not the best, full-forwards in the league. As Sharks On A Plane said Adelaide probably wouldn't even go Fevola for Walker, straight swap. So unless Jacobs and a 3rd rounder is worth much more value then Knights and a 1st rounder than this trade would not happen.

Who would need a forwardline if we had a midfield of gibbs, murphy, Judd, McLean, Simpson and Boak. possibly a stronger midfield then West Coast's in 05/06.

I dont want Fev gone, but the only trade I would be interested in, which is fair to all if you tinker with a few draft picks aswell is........................... Fev to Bulldogs, Lake to Hawthorn, and Roughead to Carlton. What ever the differences are, to be made up in draft pick upgrades.. But it gives all 3 clubs something they need and seems somewhat fair....

Life without Fev is a reality, like paying taxes and death.....whether it's now or in 3-4 yrs. If we do it now before his trade value is zlich it might even buy us a few years to work on a post-Fev forward line structure for when Gibbs Kreuz and Murph are peaking. Looking at a Ryan Murphy or Gamble for some insurance in the meantime might help.
