We have a 40-50 goal a year forward. For an extra ten I don't think we will be shelling out 450k thanks.

Stoney said:Haha - to all the Carlton tools who think they will get Bartel in the PSDtry again - Fevola and a second round pick would do it for me, but anything less and it's a "no"
On the brightside, Montagna who cant get a game with St.Kilda might be available in the PSD and would win the Blues 2006 B&F!!!

FatCat said:Why would we want to draft a ratbag 50-60-goal forward woh is going to get in the way of the stable and fairly dependable 50-60-goal forward we already have in Kent Kingsley? I can't imagine the two co-existing.
Kent will rarely be a matchwinner, but its just as rare that he goes missing completely like Fevola does.
Now if someone could offer up a match-hardened CHF for Bartel, then I'd be interested.

Pagan said:LOL you think Bartel is worth a Tredrea or J. Brown now!![]()
Oh btw your coach doesnt even rate him in your top 5![]()
Fact is he is out of contract, so he holds the cards if he decides he wants to leave. Of course if everything falls through with a trade to another club we would welcome him with open arms.![]()
Stoney said:Once again another deluded blues supporter... I'm sure if Bartel was to leave then we could strike a deal with Collingwood, Essendon or even possibly Hawthorn - now i know Collingwood would be willing to give big for a quality forward, how do i know? because malthouse said about a month ago that in the past Collingwood havn't done enough in trading - hence they will be a major player in 2005 trading week.
Bartel will either stay at Geelong or go to Collingwood who could satisfy Geelong with a good return
I'd rather Pick 4 over the entire Carlton list - so would just about every other Geelong supporter!!!
Well stop now because that is not true.Bartel is arguing over his salary I believe?

You're not real Geelong supporters.
If you we're they'd be only one thing on your mind, the elimation final.
Vaughan Pitt said:The reason Fevola kicks that many goals a season is because he is the player Carlton's midfielders will go to 85% of the time. If he had Kingsley, Ablett and Ottens beside him they collectively might kick 120, but Fevola would only get a third or less of those. Give NABlett 2 years and he'll be contributing 40+ on his own, thus negating any need for The Chin. EOS.

Pagan said:Fevola is our FF and is our main focal point, however he is not our only goal kicker and its a bit of an exaggeration that the players go to him 85% of the time. If that happened dont you think the coaches of other clubs would be onto it?
FatCat said:Given Fevola's form in the second half of the season and Carlton's win-loss ratio, then I'd say there's a damn good chance people are onto it.
But shhhh, I won't tell if you don't.
