Just want to say that Fev has really grown on me.
His attitude this year has improved and he seems to be more determined.
It is great to see that kind of thing in players...especially main figures at clubs.

Well done Fev! :thumbsu:

Tackling, Chasing long and freakish goals. He has the package. THE most exciting footballer to watch at the mniute. People were complaing about the game not having a "showman" in football anymore. Well ladies and gentlemen, here he is. Has attitutde, arrogance and that little bit of petulant naughtiness about him. And to think, on a whole, most wanted to get rid of him last year. I say, STUFF YAS ALL. Good on ya Fev

Definatley become a top 10 player in the league. Up there with Hall, Brown, Pav and Big Nick as the 5 best key position players.

However, i do not think he should be made captain. This should go to Lance. Reason being, he still is prone to putting on the "bad Fev" display even during his good games. He has become a leader, and deserves Vice Captaincy with perhaps a young gun (Maybe Walker) and then add in Murphy in 2 years time.

Even on the footy show, he is prone to saying a few things that a proud club would be a little embarrassed with. I love the guy. But i really do not think he is captain material.

Think about all those times he left the defender behind while on the lead and the ball was delivered over his head or darted at his toes while at full pelt.Scary thinking about how many more goals he could score when our midfield improves

1.
spot on !
2.
Clowns one and all who wanted to, or suggested to, trade him. The talent was always there, he just needed to mature. [and people are different eg Murp is 'mature in the head' now; Fev is a 'late bloomer']
3.
Thank God for the missus, has settled him and the whole Footy world can now appreciate his talents [I've never been a Buckley fan but you have to admire him].
4.
and the word arrogance, love it. Is what the CFC must embrace again.

Agree with most of what you said - expect for the arrogance part. It was, IMO, arrogance that cost us the match on the weekend. Sure, arrogance is good -when your playing well. Not for a developing team like us - we don't need them to think theyre better than what they are / get ahead of themselves.

That said, Fev is an absolute superstar. Said this heaps of time, but his transformation, over one season, having gone from a player people wanted gone to a potential captain and Coleman medalist, has been nothing short of outstanding. Good onya, Fev:thumbsu: .

i still cringe every time he is on the footy show but who can complain when he is playing the type of footy he is at the moment.

i wouldn't like to see him made captain. not yet anyway ;)

The Fevola Franklin show on Sunday is something I was fortunate to watch. I loved watching Buddy turn it on, and whilst I was spewing Fevola was on fire, I was able to appreciate it. Maybe the closest we have got since Ablett and Dunstall played the same game...

Arrogance is what got us to the position we have been in for the last few years.
Arrogance is what costs us those games that we really should win.
Arrogance is what makes teams play below their best, as they honestly believe they dont need to.

Cant wait to get some Confidence back into the group, cant wait to see them all start believing in themselves and each other on field. But arrogance is one thing we dont need.

*not talking purely Fevola here, as full foward may be the one position on the ground arrogance MAY be accepted - as long as he is still willing to work hard.

At this stage of the season I hope Nathan Brown is close to, or 100%. Our boys need as much practice as possible for the remainder of this season against the best opposition teams can throw at us. This is why I'm hoping the pies do rest Buckley this weekend just so he can play against us the next.

Playing and beating a depleted Melbourne team seemed to inflate our boys heads a bit. And I'd much rather that inflation come about from playing the best.
