Apart from his brain shock and tongue explosions Fev last year was a disappoitment. But he had many niggles such as ankles knees hips shoulders hands etc.
Anyone know how he has pulled up physically? With all the pieces in place Fev should take the Coleman back easily if his mind and body are strong!
Anybody seen how he is training?Heard he was a bit heavy coming back....

the only reason he is heavy is coz he hasnt done anything since had all his operations and he is still recovering!!

sitting around for 2 months would have put on a few kgs!!

all reports say his operations were successfull and were nothing major!!!

he should be hitting the track hard after xmas and no doubt will shed his weight fast!!!

Was not having a go at the man, just repeating what Spider Ev said and I do not often take him seriously.I am happy Fev is with us but want him up and running!

no probs!

yeah wouldnt listen to Spider, always has his own agenda and i think he should spend more time worrying about himself and his pre season rather than fev!!

Im not so sure that its just recovering from his operations that is holding him back.

If it was just recovering from finger, thumb and shoulder surgery you would he think that he would not be restricted in his running by now.

It has been reported that he is having problems with his groin again, which is a big concern.

59 goals in a side that does him no favours. Avg goals per year is 64 over 5 years in a side that has finished in the bottom 2 on four occassions. I would be suprised if any of the true Full forwards would have done better over that period. I think with Fev you need to look at the bottom line rather than than all the side issues

with the injuries hes had while he was Playing surly part of the Trouble he's had lets give him til halfway to see if he improved i'm sure we'll see a differnt Fev out there in 2008 :) dunno if they should play him in the nab cup or save him for rd 1 of the H&A .?

Carlton should revert to resting the senior players and use the Nab Cup to try out the kids in different Positions
that why we never won too many preseason comps.

Absolutely right
And the bottom line is he is our full forward paid to kick goals. So maybe it is in the team's best interests if he forgets things like spots on the Footy Show etc (don't know if he has a contract or not with ch9).
I have loved Fev from the start and if I was in the mid field or half back line, would love to have him as my target! With our improving stocks in the midfield and forward targets, hopefully that will free up Fev's push out from the goal square and teams will not be able to double or triple team him!He must be salivating at the prospect!

Salivating....I like that word.

ye he isnt in the best of shape, i went down to training with a mate and all fev was doing was a light handball drill to get warmed up then he was told to run the rest of the session. he couldnt finish 1 lap he would be running half a lap and stop. he looked at me and my mate and said "im #$%@" so he has alot of work to do. but in saying that all he does now at training is run so im sure hell be fit in no time mind you in the full forward postion you dont have to be very fit but id like to see him lighter alowing him to be quicker on the lead. im sure hell get there. bentick is another who at training only runs laps i think he realises that hes gonna have to be in his physical peak to fit into our midfield next year. one thing with fev is that i think now we will start to see him go down with injuries alot more as he is now 27 and begining to become older

he is having trouble with his groins ATM. wont start to run until after christmas i was told and if that doesnt help may have to have an op to fix it. Better now then never. his weight has grown becasue he hasnt been able to run at all yet since the end of the season.

not worried just yet i will about in about Feb or March if things dont improve

Love the Fev but Plugger used to kick 10 a week when the Saints were crap for years. ;)

What is the evidence that the footy show appearances have affected his game?

Fev needs his ego stroked regularly to keep him happy. I actually think the footy show helps Fev to big the "Big name" footballer he thinks he is. Especially with Judd at the club now, the media won't be asking for Fev too often, so this side of things will be good for him.

Did he have groin surgery over the break? I recall him having a few ops, not sure if that was one of them.

Not sure whether it affects his game but for Carlton it's a double edged sword. His comments are on par with Doug Hawkins, (although Dougie generally makes more constructive footy comments) but most of the footy public love seeing him on it.

I think he needs to concentrate just on gameday where he can be deadset champ and should be barred from talking. To anyone, forever.
