hello everyone!! my team is a well thought out team and picked with a good balance and variety across the board but i seem to be heading backwards and i cannot pinpoint why....i have dropped from 386 to 716 overall this week...

1. who is the better ruckman to keep out of hille and simmonds....i need to get cox into my team and now MUST be the time considering he is just over $400 000...i just dunno which ruckman to upgrade, simmonds or hille??

2. i dont yet have chad cornes in my team and was gonna use my last backs upgrade to upgrade ibbotson to cornes...BUT ibbotson is a prolific ballgetter and the dockers need him, he wont cop too many tags, if any, and he is averaging GREAT for a backman this season....he almost could be a keeper?? i have beau waters though and i dunno whether i should upgrade him to cornes or wait and upgrade ibbotson?? i will cop another 0 this week if waters doesnt play...unless hartlett or proud get an unlikely game???

3. i have riewoldt on my bench and am playing both rioli and gamble who both score decently every week...i would like to upgrade rioli in a few weeks but he looks to have peaked this week....i have my eye on a unique forward and i dont want to miss the boat there? is it time for rioli to go this week??

4. i have bachar houli and craig bird...houli is a starter for me and he has now maxed in price it seems...i wanna upgrade him to bartel but it looks a week early with bartel set to drop some more still....but houli will drop next week also....what should i do here??

in all i need help with these decisions:

simmonds or hille for cox?
what to do with my backline?
is it time to offload rioli for a gun?
what to do with houli?

any help is greatly appreciated guys...please :confused:

IMO -
1)Hille -> Cox

2)Maybe downgrade proud to Myers if Hartlett isn't picked however I'd stick with Waters for the time being and upgrade ibbo to cornes later....cornes plays sydney this week and over the next 4 weeks Ibbo will keep making cash whereas cornes will most likely hover if not drop a bit.

3) Next week I think I will offload rioli to a gun, just check the 'unique guns' BE and if it's low then trade him in cos you down want to miss the boat but rioli should still make you some money this week.

4) If you want Bartel now/next week is the time to get him and I'd be looking to get rid of Houli, even though he will drop a little so will Houli and you may need to do the rioli trade next week. Don't worry about wasting trades if you are using them for upgrades they (trades) aren't being wasted.

my preferences:
1) Houli -> Bartel... if you can afford it, do it. he's an automatic captain.
2) Rioli -> gun fwd... he looks ripe for an upgrade. but i doubt your new signing will be captains material.
3) Waters -> Chad... not the best week to be bringing in Chad. he's in some doubt. but an absolute must when fit.
4) Hille/Simmonds -> Cox... i think that would be silly given the circumstances. they say he's got a broken foot and WCE are bottom4. when tank mode kicks in (let's say rd15-22) they'll probably send him away for an operation. your unique setup could easily save you a trade.

1. Simmonds > Hille. Trade Hille if you want but sounds like you have bigger problems.

2. Wait until Cornes falls in value then trade Waters for him.

3. Depends on the forward's B/E. Next week, Rioli would have peaked, although a big score against Melb may allow you to keep him a couple more weeks.

4. What is Bartel's B/E ~ 130? He is capable of reaching this against Collingwood IMO; don't bank on him falling too much in value.

So I'd prioritise them as:

1. Houli --> Bartel this week
2. Rioli upgrade next week ... If forward's B/E is low then this should be your first priority
3. Waters --> Cornes in 2-3 weeks
4. Hille --> Cox

1. Simmonds > Hille, keep Simmonds and get Cox
2. Wait it out, Chad got 65 in his last game and will probably get about the same versus Sydney, which will probably give him a BE of 150+
3. Depends. Jonathon Brown and Brad Johnson are both very cheap, but Rioli will keep going up. If you don't have either of the above (and I've had them both from the start :mad:) then get one of them. If you have both, or you don't want to take a risk with Johnson, then wait a while. There are always forwards dropping in price, because it's a lot harder to be consistent sitting in a forward line
4. Upgrade him to Corey or Kornes now, or wait a week, but only one week because you're better off getting in the guns as early as possible.

Don't take week-to-week fluctuations too hard. Sometimes your team just is out of form.

1 Keep Simmonds.
2. Don't trade out Ibbo. He's going to rise in price hugely. I would also keep Waters because he is destined to rise in price but if you're suffering 0s then you can trade out Waters for Cornes. If you can wait it out that's good as Cornes will drop slightly in price. Otherwise upgrade Waters.

3. Rioli will hold in value most likely. I am ridding him for J Brown but unless you have a similar great forward prospect don't pull the trigger just yet. Also unique players are pretty much worthless--it's one strategy to bank on your unique player doing well and everyone else's common player getting injured but that doesn't happen very often at all. Better to just get the best value player.

4. Get rid of houli this week or next for a gun midfielder if you have the money. There is no real rush to trade. If you trade too heavily you will run out. Just look at good midfield options based on form and BE and then trade when the time is right. Houli won't go down toooo much but it would be good to dump him now.

1: Most people have Cox & Simmonds (including me). I would upgrade Hille out of the two if you don't have better trades to do.

2: Looks like Ibbotson will be good enough for the 7th, 8th, 9th defence positions. I am struggling with zeroes down back with Cornes and Symes missing and Proud and Spangher not playing. Am thinking of a Proud->Myers trade assuming Leigh continues not to play him. Not ideal, but was always struggling with defence with the meltdown that occurred in the afternoon before the 1st lockout.

3: I traded Gamble to B.Johnson last week and am looking at keeping Rioli as my 1st backup forward. He is currently playing for me whilst Riewoldt has a holiday. I think his price will probably stabilise. Your use of him as a trade depends on who your other forward backups are. I am trying to keep a decent backup in each position who is likely to play most games in case of short-term injury. (Myers, Cotchin, Kruezer, Rioli)

4: I am trading Houli this week or next to either Bartel or Corey. Corey's price won't go up too much and Bartel is probably likely to have another decent price drop before stabilising. In either case, probably not a massive change upwards if at all. I don't think it will hurt to wait a week on this one.

1. Hille-->Cox
2. Upgrade Waters to CHAD and leave Ibbo for the reasons that you stated
3. Hang on to Reiwoldt maybe 1-2 more weeks then up or downgrade rioli or gamble. Downgrade rioli if the forward you want will score well enough to be on the ground
4. Bartel will more than likely drop more than Houli so wait until it is in a favourable position for you than make the move.

Exactly what i was thinking with cox. Can't see him risking a long term injury when the team is bottom 4 this year.

My advice, Houli is the priority, midfielders are the guys you want to get a gauranteed 100 everyweek, therefore either this week or next week, look to get a gun in.
