FGD Board Awards Poll #6 - Most Improved Designer
And the nominees are........
#1 – Andonis1997

Andonis has made great strides in his designing ability in the latter half of the year. Possibly coinciding with a recent Photoshop acquisition, his designs have grown in creativity and skill with each effort. Recent examples of how far he’s come include his ARICL R2 entry, and his Limestone Coast Ducks AFL Rebooted entry.
#2 – SFGiant

One of the most underrated designers on the board, SFgiant has made great strides with his designing ability over the past year. He doesn’t post much, but when he does, it is normally a striking design for one of our many competitions. Some personal favourites of mine from his designs include his Peel Sand Crabs for AFL Rebooted, his Victorian Goldfields Dragons and his Adelaide Sharks kits. He has also made an Under Armor template available in the template thread.
#3 – Gava93

Gava may seem like an odd choice for most improved, but there is a reason behind his nomination. In 2011, he took that next step from a good designer to one of the elite on the board, mentioned in the same breath as luminaries such as Craegus and Cory. His PS template is possibly the most used on the board, and his Canberra Bluebirds entry is in the top 4 in the NAFL and a strong chance to take out the competition.
#4 – lmach8

A classy photoshop user, lmach has been quietly going about his business designing jumpers for pretty much every comp in the past few months. His presentation, crispness, creativity and outside the box thinking has seen lmach greatly improve his designs and improve himself to one of the best designers on the board.
#5 – Bowakawa

Another somewhat quiet poster, Bowakawa’s designs are easily recognisable. Bowakawa’s jumpers are classy and simple while also being out of the box. Bowakawa regularly submits entries into numerous competitions and with the improvement that his designs have made; in recent times he has received great reviews from numerous board members!
#6 – BennyW

As most posters, early on Benny’s designs featured great effort, but lacked the classiness and touch of the better designers. While using photoshop, Benny’s designs have steadily improved and he is now constantly churning out original and artistic pieces of work. One of Benny’s most notable achievements was being a winner during the recent BigFooty Designathon.
