could do the free agent trick to get rich quick? or is it too unrealistic of an approach?
I don't really want to cheat the system too much if I can avoid it. I also don't just want shitloads of money for overpowered sides, I want a side that is realistic in design as well as youthful just to keep it fun.

Whats the rules with leaving from regular online seasons (not UT). I left a game and it was nil all, 20th minute in and he had terrible terrible lag. He got the win, I got a loss.

Next game I'm up against some guy 3-0 bit before the half and he leaves...

I don't get a win, draw or loss?

If you leave before the 5th minute the game doesn't count, even if you scored or conceded a goal.

As for why you didn't get a win, I have no idea.

I'm in my first season as Norwich Manager. And into the league cup final Vs Chelsea. Gonna be tough!

Sitting mid table in the actual season and was knocked out in round 1 of the FA cup by Southhampton :(

Spurs sitting well clear in first too

I'm also coach of Austria and have played my first qualifiers in Feb (which we we were bottom of the table and winless due to previous management) with a 1-1 draw with Belgium and and 3-1 caning of Sweden. I was 3 zip up inside 30 mins with a hat trick to the Austrian striker.

I'm not a massive soccer fan but I do like the games. Ive been playing this on the ipad. I have to say I have had a hell of a lot of fun improving my team by buying and selling players and bringing Leeds up to the premier league and turning them into a solid team. You can see how people get carried away with the management games.

It's February 2019 and my Brighton team is looking awesome - 5 stars awesome, in fact. The only problem is I'm only sitting midtable right now and the board want me to finish top 4, however I am still in both the FA Cup and the Europa League.

Currently running with this, not including injuries:

Renan Ribeiro (82)
Danilo (84) - Milanovic (82) - Kongolo (80) - Mbaye (82)
Frimpong (81)
Cristian Tello (80) - Lucas Piazon (86)
Coutinho (85)
Romarinho (83) - Lopez Cabrera (85)
Subs: Ruthven (74), Vorsah (78), Mongongu (79), Allan (77), Marange (79), Adams (75), Cyriac (79)
The progression of these guys has been nothing short of awesome. Cabrera has grown by 10 whole ratings since I purchased him from the Free Agent list in 2016. He's now worth 21.5 million! Piazon has grown by 3 since I picked him up at the start of the season from Chelsea for 13 mil. Coutinho is worth 15 mil. Milanovic has grown a tonne well since I picked him up the same time as Cabrera, now he's worth 17.5 mil, is an awesome CB and is still only being paid 2k wages (board and player are pissed off about that :D) Then I found a wonderkid Marange who is already 79 overall and is only 17 years old - signed.

Ideally to "finish off" this career mode I'd win the league with Brighton next season hopefully, possibly move to City (applied for the job 1 in-game week ago but got knocked back), then finish off the last couple of years with Sydney FC again if possible

Great pick up is Lucas Piazon Gibbsy

Bought Neymar, he's amazing. The club and fans forced me to buy a LB, and gave options of what they wanted. Jordi Alba was one of them, so i invested in him, which is a great choice :D

Oh and 20 games into this season im in, and Spurs are dead last. Hope they get relegated :p

Spurs have been up and down in my career over the last few seasons, this year they came dead last with a grand total of 4 points. It may have something to do with the fact that they do not have a keeper. For the 2 seasons (were relegated then promoted) that they have been in the Premier League (don't know how long it has actually been the case, only noticed in the season before last), Gareth Bale has been between the sticks.

Haha classic troll by EA maybe? :D

I posted earlier on the thread that the exact same has happened in my career, Spurs have no keepers ans play Bale in goal.

So they go from having two very good keepers like they do now (Friedel and Lloris) to having none in two different careers? That is bizarre but it hasn't happened to me as they are currently top with 9 wins and a draw from their opening 10 games.

I thought it was just one of those one off type of things but it is strange if it keeps happening all the time.

Nice bit of wheeling and dealing in the transfer window. Lucas Piazon, 86 overall, worth 14.5 million pounds - I sold him to PSG for 26 million. Mario Gotze, 91 overall, worth 26 million pounds - I buy from Dortmund for 18 million.

An awesome upgrade, my team is just as awesome now too.

Neymar is incredibly good. Like, everything you need. Insane.

Anyway, looking to start a career mode with a Championship side... Any suggestions? Was leaning towards Middlesbrough.

I start a be a pro season as a young striker with Bradford City. I'm going well, scoring a goal a game and a few assists. Bradford is undefeated on the top of the table and defeated Man City and Aston Villa in the League Cup. I get an offer to join Aston Villa in the first transfer window but I decline to stay with Bradford. Everything is going great until I get injured in late October. ACL injury, out for 7 months. FML.

Unlucky Atheist

Got dogged by Man U in a game. Was up 2-1 as Norwich and one of my defenders got injured and was hobbling across the goal front, left the goal wide open and in they ran to score a simple goal :(

Ended up losing 3-2 too.

And so many injuries at the end of the season! 4 of my best players are out

I am so glad I have stuck with Cardiff.

Even though the expectations placed on me are ridiculous, I escape relegation on the final day of the season so of course next season the Board want a European adventure and the Media predict me to finish 6th!

Also, every season I play in the EPL (whether it be this FIFA or previous years) I get a terrible schedule to begin with. Chelsea and Liverpool away, Wigan at home for a nice break, then Tottenham after that. Spurs are top of the League right now.

My little Messi is an absolute gem, sometimes I forget how amazing he is and end up running back into a defender I've just beaten with ease because I was initially trying to shield the ball instead of dribble past two.

Currently 10 points outside Europe because City, United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Spurs are romping away from the rest. Only a game outside 6th though. Bojan is answering his critics, he's forming a deadly combination with my Argentine CAM.

Got a free agent CB from France a few years back in my career started at mid 70's rating. Now rated 90 at age 21 and still rising, worth 45mil at the moment and I have him signed up for another 4 years at only 10,000 a week.

The free agents are pretty crazy this time around. I signed a CB as well, German I think, he was already worth a few mill and a week later he was worth 10. He was rated 75 I think so will probably soar into the 90s even though he's only my backup at the moment.

They rise really quickly, my guys the best defender in the world at the moment.
