I have German commentary on now, got sick of the commentators mentioning the same thing about the same certain players from each team every few minutes. In one match Altidore apparently got sent off, got injured, got subbed off and scored, when really none of those things happened.
 
Refusing to play career mode until EA fix the squads. Fellaini isn't at united, Ozil went to City and so did cazorla and bale went to Barcelona.

Anyone else have this problem?

So on my second attempt at getting this game, I was thankfully successful. Have played a few games into a career, and so far loving it. Tradition for me with every FIFA game is to start a Sheffield Wednesday career first thing, and the way they've slowed the game makes it much more realistic from a Championship quality point of view. Unlike the other FIFA's, my young left midfielder can't just whip a devastating through ball straight into the box or my tall lanky striker can't just run rings around every central defender. Only thing that makes it crap is that it's too realistic in terms of Wednesday having a hopeless attack, only scored 1 goal in about 7 matches (even worse when I've played teams like Yeovil, Scampaignerhorpe and Bournemouth)

Just as an aside, how would you feel as a lowly La Liga team defender coming up against Messi, Neymar and Bale?

Your brave playing as the owls they not that great in real life let alone in the game ! Do they have any money to bring in new players ?

You never know when the club is going to go into administration and get shut down so I make the most of it! They have like 2 million transfer and 15,000 wages. Josh Kennedy and Ogenovski are always my first signings from Free Agents, and my only signings I can afford haha
 
Everton are very fun to play with.

As someone that will also use a Championship side, how do you find career mode overall? Seems to be the biggest change to Career mode in many years. Have heard mixed reviews.

Where it says "squads used" I change it to download latest but then once I click advance it just gets reset back to default.

Then I start my season, Fellaini is still at Everton and man city always sign Ozil and cazorla.
 
First impression of career mode was that it was far too clunky and has almost been completely ruined! I was bored by the time I reached my first friendly.

Is it just me ... or is there no way to do an advanced player search to find players to buy? in fifa 13 you could modify the parameters to target your search to specific types of players. Now they just let you change a few really pointless things (like what league they play in) and nothing else. Makes searching for players torturous to say the least.

Added to this the stupidly complex scouting system which is so boring that I just ended up scouting all these crap players because it was too monotonous to tell the scout to stop.

Oh yes ... and it has freezed about 4 times. At least Fifa 13 would let me play for a while before constantly freezing.

Last years version was fun, they just needed to tidy up a few things ... instead a group of 'men in blue ties decided they know better'.

I dunno if the nerds at EA Sports are men in blue ties ... but im still mad!

That's the point of the new career mode. I haven't tried it yet but I hope it's not as bad as you say

You can ask your scouts to search for specific things. Young talents, strikers, passers etc. Much more realistic.

I refuse to play career mode until they change this, if I wanted realism I'd be playing football manager.
