What type of shots do you use?
I just pass it about until I find an inch of space and then perhaps take a thunder bolt from out side or a finesse shot. Sometimes it gets saved , sometimes it goes in. Other times it's from a cross. I scored a few long range efforts already.

Not to say there aren't times that I lose.

I was told $69 at my closest one, but the bloke also did say it could be cheaper on release day.

It may not be the Ultimate Team edition, but I really don't wan't all those useless packs you get and other stuff. I'll be buying UT packs release day anyway, so what the use of them? :)
Try this link and take it in store.

Like I said to my mate, cancel the UT pre order and spend the money you're saving on premium packs where you're more likely to get something good ;)

Biggest thing for me is the new ability to control a player from a throw-in or corner; it's massive, I've dreamed about that so many times before. Otherwise, apart from minor things like improved UI and GK AI it is still basically FIFA 14.

I remember playing PES on the Wii for a while where you could actually point to players during set pieces (and in general play too I think) and tell them where to run. Thought it was unreal at the time and needed to be brought into other consoles somehow.

Will download on the PS3 when I get home and give it a go.

Pretty sure you could control someone from a throw in on 14.

Yes, you could.

This very good tip is in the manual which maybe you should read some time. From the throw in aim for a player but rather than throw it press the left bumper. You are now controlling the player you were aiming at not the thrower. You can move that player anywhere on the pitch and the thrower will follow his movement. Now you have a few options. You can throw it to the player using the methods below or you can press the left bumper again. Now the player will move around as normal and you are controlling the thrower only again.

Haven't played FIFA for a couple of years, and never on next gen, so obviously lots of things are new for me that aren't necessarily new for you. The demo gameplay is pretty slick though, and runs super smoothly on my 3 year old computer (although it was pretty beast back in the day)

A few things I have noticed:

1) The physics engine is pretty awesome but it does lead to a few hilarious plays, particularly leading to some garbage goals with the ball pinballing around. I suppose that can happen in real life too though.
2) The number of injuries seems very high. I'm using the demo expander on PC, taking the game from 4 -> 7 minute quarters, and maybe that has something to do with it. I say this because the fatigue is not scaled properly and so guys are exhausted by the end of the game, because it's as if they have played almost 200% match time.
3) Crowds don't look amazing but they sound fantastic. Hearing "You'll never walk alone" resonate around Anfield in the 85th minute when Liverpool were up 3-1 was quite wonderful. In terms of look, they look about as good as previous generation NHL crowds, and not as good as next gen NHL.

Just downloaded the demo

I must say i love the authentic EPL scoreboard and in play stats

The marks on the ground from slides and tackles is awesome

Season mode will be awesome with all EPL grounds in it

Replays of fouls and goals are 10/10

Can't wait for the real thing in 10 days time

Has anybody noticed that keepers don't push the ball out well enough when they make a save? Often, I will have a shot, which they will save, and it won't actually go out, but rather stay in play and easy to tap in. Hopefully this is amended in the demo.

I'd also like the option to take things quickly with the keeper. I like that it shows them placing the ball down, but it's annoying that it's like a cut scene, and then switches to the view behind them. Should be able to kick it quickly without having to see the second screen.

I'm with you on this, not being able to kick to open players during that cut scene is an annoyance.

One thing that I thought has improved though is pulling your keeper out. I've been holding down triangle in a few tricky situations to bring Joe Hart out at a running forward and it works quite well.

1 thing I'm finding annoying in the demo is the randomness awarding of Extra time.

sometime I'll score 3 times in a half and there will be 1min added time, yet on occasions where I haven't score in a half it's giving me 5min
