Does anyone else find that your players very rarely get injured or get carded during career mode?

With Arsenal I've played about 22 league games and have got 4 yellow cards for the season and only 2 injuries longer than a week.

I mean, it's more challenging when you've to overcome hurdles like that.

Put the injury sliders up a bit. I've had Walcott & Welbeck both miss 3 months and a swag of others missing a game or two with a minor injury. Then there's the annoying one where they pick up an injury in a game and can play the game out only to miss 3 weeks with a sprained knee/ankle

In play this is true, very few injuries or cards (but then I very rarely pull out the slide tackle).

I'm guessing you don't sim much, not a game goes by without an injury or suspension.

Yeah, I play every game, so looks like its not just me then.

Few issues with the game but overall it's very enjoyable.

Had my first online seasons match earlier, it was actually a lot of fun. I assumed I was going to get done like a dinner and lose really badly (considering the match length was longer than the usual 4... or sometimes 5 minute halves that I usually play when playing solo).

Literally 2 seconds after the first kick off i switched it to "park the bus" defensive play :D, surprisingly I actually scored a goal at around the half way point of the first half. I didn't expect it, and my opponent was really good and kept on pressing with varied attempted passes at goal. I was still ahead 1 - 0 going into the second half, but it wasn't long before the other guy scored against me. Considering he had like 10x the amount of scoring shots than I did i was resigned to the fact that I was going to lose. That being said I never disconnect early from a match... well that's technically a lie... I'll usually abandon ship early in the match if the lag is unbearable... but aside from that I don't quit if I know i'm going to lose... which I generally know I will as aside from dominating the cpu ai, I suck against human opposition :D .

So i was bringing my goalie out deliberately, my opponent kept on trying to score, but because I also sneakily changed my formation, my last line of defenders were actually good at blocking the attempted long bombs. But I was eventually scored against making it 1 - 2 :(. He must have fallen asleep after the goal, as when i resumed play at the kick off I sprinted to just outside the box and scored the equaliser :thumbsu:. And after that I started to play a bit more smarter (re: I went to "do or die" mode and switched to all out attack) and was able to break lines, go on run after run.... but each time I had an open shot at goal my actual strike of the ball was piss weak and the goal keeper would easily stop it (they were really weak, even the ground passes that I was doing in the lead up to the attempted shots at goal had more power behind them lol).

I conceded the final goal at the 88th minute and lost 3 - 2. But it was still entertaining and better than losing 5 - 0.

Decided to take a break from my Birmingham manager mode to focus on being a player for a while. Whilst it's undoubtedly still enjoyable and a lot of fun, there's certainly less interactivity off the field. I'm playing as the Western Sydney Wanderers with a view of heading overseas at the end of the season, and there's no emails, no communication, just a bunch of objectives to meet for the month. I suppose it's to be expected.

So how come I now need play station plus to play online when I didn't need it
Sat week?

Hard to believe that I have spent 20 hours on the game (according to EA Origin), doesn't feel like it. Even though I have had a seasons worth of matches (won the season as Melbourne Victory, only blemish was a draw.... but I won every other game) and now slowly getting into FUT. Going to attempt 3 seasons at the same time, continue my Melbourne Victory players career while running 2 different manager careers (1 in a super power team in Barcelona and another in a lower England league in an attempt to promote up to the EPL).

Have had some more ripper matches both against cpu and online opponents. I have only lost once, drawn a few times... but i am scraping together wins a lot more often than I had in past Fifa's (I'll be matched up against Fifa experts that will school me 5 - 0 soon hahaha). Have had a few matches that are decided in the 80th minute - onwards. it's super tense and exciting at the same time, have been having great escapes as well (in two matches i foxed around the box...... the opponent became too edgy, ends up going for the ball TOO aggressively thus giving me a penalty kick. which i slot with ease).

Also, had possibly the greatest champions league semi final of all time.

1st leg away to Schalke as Arsenal.
0-1
1-1
2-1
2-2
3-2
4-2
4-3
4-4
4-5
5-5
Those last two goals both in 90th minute.

2nd leg at home. I'm losing 3-1. Score two goals in the last 5 minutes to go through to final which I beat Barcelona in with Sanchez scoring the winner.
