For those that are looking to trade, sell and other Ultimate-Teamy things like that.

If you're searching for a certain type of player, or selling for that matter, it would be much more helpful if you include things such as position, card type (bronze, silver, gold or a rare variation), nationality, team, overall and some key stats they are good in, just to help you along your way. What console you're on may help, too. ;)

Ultimate team is basically a card game within the FIFA games where you strive to create whatever sort of team you like. You open packs, trade or buy cards to get players, and play games/cups/online tournaments to win coins.

Chemistry - The higher it is, the better your players will run into position and make good plays and stick to their formations. Best ways to elevate this are to get players from the same country, league (can only be one of the previous if you choose) and players that like to run the formation your manager does.
Contracts - Contracts are how many games the specific player can play for your club. Running out of contract does not invalidate them from playing again. You buy contracts to get them more games. Try searching for 200 max buy it now in the Gold contracts search and snap up what you can for a cheap 13 game extender to your Gold players.
Modifiers - There are two forms of Modifiers in this game. One changes how your player or manager plays/coaches and the other comes from Managers and Coaches to help with your players. The one that changes how your player plays or manager coaches is fairly straight forward, you can pick up cards that changes a formation or position for a player or manager. The 2nd form is in the form of little % boosts that you get to help with things like contracts/team talks/injuries.
Managers - Managers don't play a huge part in the game of UT, but they do set how you play your matches. Try and get a manager that suits your style of formation, whatever you like, get them. The higher quality the manager, the different and higher quality modifiers you get from them. DO NOT pay overs for a manager, they aren't worth an exorbitant amount.
Coaches - The more managers and coaches you get the better your modifiers. Both managers and coaches stack their modifiers.
Buy Low/Sell High - Try and find bargains. There will always be bargains to find simply due to people not knowing the markets. Use the UTDB to help you find high average players and see if you can buy them for less than what they should be getting. Hold onto them if you need to once you get them as the market can trend just like in real life.
Wait for the Poms - In the buy low/sell high mould. The best time to 'Buy Low' is when the Poms are all in sleepy times. So between about 10am and 8pm is the best time to scout the markets. However once the Poms are awake, that's the time to start selling your expensive players. Set the time limit on your sales to push out to around 1am and beyond and you're likely to get exactly what you should for your player.

Sold Meireles for a decent 7k.

I know he's decent but I'm gonna try create a like pure Spanish team or something. Had a bidding war with someone for Cazorla. Should have got him at 5k, he's shiny and 84. Only other RM/RW Spain have that are better are probably Silva/Iniesta/Navas, and Navas is the only one that is naturally a RM/RW.

Might try for him if possible. Could probably get a few good gold Spanish players with the 9k I have. The likes of Llorente, Negredo, Thiago and Cazorla could be bought for a combined total of 9k. Not much really, will try my luck soon.

Probably gonna sell Kameni, rated 82 and shiny. If anyone is keen let me know.

Just FWIW EBIAC reckon it'd be good to chuck a bullet point run down of exactly what UT is and how it works in your OP, make it easier for the n00bs of FIFA 12 just seeing it for the first time.

I'm seeing Lukaku going for around 2.5k-5k. I think a lot depends on what formation he likes playing. It changes around for some reason.

I've seen Meireles go from 4k-9k so I guess I'm sold him just above average.

Just saw Lukaku go for 7.8k. It was a 4-4-2 formation which I think would be very popular and sort after. Any chance you remember/can check what formation he preferred.
 
His preferred formation was 4-4-2, looks like I was ripped off :rolleyes:
 
Fuuuuck that sucks. Bad luck. Least you know for future sales though, 4-4-2 is more premium from what I gather.

Also some advice to all, some of you probably know but try stay away from buying packs. They are fun as shit but you generally get crap from them. I can't help myself but buy packs. I guess Meireles was ok but rest has been poor.

If anyone on 360 is wanting to get rid of their second or third tier players, any nationality, I'd be willing to have a look.
 
Anyone sold an IF Javi Varas? They seem to be very common, so the demand for them is pretty low.

Hoping to get above 9,000, which seems to be around the mark from the 10 or so I've seen sold.

EDIT: Oh yeah, free packs were trash. Best was probably Criscito. I think he sells, so hopefully get a couple K for him.

Just opened my packs. Most of them were actually pretty great, without being over 80. Pretty fast black men, generally.

Nabbed Cissokho with 86 pace, and Begovic with 81 dive and 82 speed. Neither are over 77, but should sell well. :thumbsu:

I've picked up that targeting players you want is the way to go, rather than opening packs.

Cissokho has been pretty common. Think maybe 1-1.5

It happens a lot I guess, but it's also a huge risk.
 
Opened my packs, best I got was Frei :s Got a couple of positional cards though, should sell well.

Anyone else think making a Bundesliga team this year will be garbage? It will just be Bayern Munich, with Hummels and Subotic as CB. I think this will be my first year making an EPL team. Dzeko FTW!

First Pack: Ramos 76 (ST), Dikan 78 (GK), some contract cards, etc etc.
Second Pack: Samuel, 85, shiny (CB), the rest was shithouse.
Third Pack: Asamoah, 75 (CM), high pace. The rest was crap.

didn't do too bad. allows my club to grow some more at least.
