Oh well the end of another year of football and unfortunatly for the Tigers supporters another year of disappointment.

[ 1 ] Now, what do you all think of the posititon we finished in? Does anyone think we should have finished higher, finished lower or was 13th what we should have finished.

[ 2 ]Also who do you think were the big improvers and the guys who basically just didnt give a toss?

[ 3 ]Who will poll the most votes in the Brownlow for the Tigers?

[ 4 ]Second last question is: Who should really be traded. There are some that wouldnt be worth a cent but then theres some that the club dont need.

[ 5 ]Last question, realistic prediction of what we will finish next year with the sort of team we have now. Obviously, trading hasnt started but just have an estimate.

Not happy , esp given we started 6-2, to,lose 13 from 14 is ridiculous. Pre season I though we could be in the 8, but did not count on the form slump being so bad + injuries to Cambo and Gas and Otto that hurt us big time

Improvers - Cogs, newman, Chaff, AK

Kane was good in first season, Otto returned well, big hopes for next year

Joel, Richo, and the usual border line suspects - Rory, Kayne etc etc

[ 3 ]Who will poll the most votes in the Brownlow for the Tigers?

Cogs, Kane - as some of Cogs best efforts were in losing efforts, Kane saved his best for the wins

Only ones who others may want are untouchable - Otto, Cogs

Unfortunately you generally can't trade the players you don't want as they are universally considered hopeless - unless some insane person thinks Rory can be the next Voss !!!

I refuse to be too pessimistic, so I think we can finish 5-8....I must have hope to get me through the summer. Stranger things have happened - look a the Swans - can anyone honestly say their list is that much better than ours !!!

I think the position we finished in was appalling.

We should have made the eight in a canter considering we were 6 and 2

The best way to answer this question is to say who i think we should keep:

Coughlan
Campbell
Johnson
Ottens
Rodan
Krakour
Stafford
Chaffey
Tivendale
A. Kellaway
Newman
Zantuck
Gaspar
Holland

Coughlan

Anyone not listed in the above list should be offered up.

We might get the spoon next year, its not entirely out of the question with 1 win from the last 14 games. Yes we have problems with our list but I am also very sure now that the coach just hasn't got it either. 2004 will be frawleys last year.

Probably should have finished a couple of positions higher if we had of won some of the close ones we should have the major two being Carlton and the Roos. Geelong and Hawthorn we got close but came from behind so we were lucky to end up so close. When you miss the eight its always a disappointing season.

Coughlan continued his improvement and IMO opinon is the tier below the real high class midfielders the likes of Voss and Buckley.
Newman steadily improved from his efforts of last year.
Tivendale improved from last year and got back to somewhere like the form he had in 2001 maybe slightly better.
Stafford's 1st half when we were winning was superb.
Chaffey was steady and stepped up to another level this season.

[ 3 ]Who will poll the most votes in the Brownlow for the Tigers?

Coughlan. I'm hopeful he'll go close to winning but this season that is a real long shot. Should hopefully run top 10 with a bit of luck.

[ 4 ]Second last question is: Who should really be traded. There are some that wouldnt be worth a cent but then theres some that the club dont need.

I doubt Joel Bowden or Richo will get as much value as what we would like to get for them. Richo won't be traded anyway, I'm doubtful Bowden will. Bowden's last two games have been big improvements and if he could produce like that more regularly then he is worth keeping, but it's doubtful that he will be consistent enough. If he does end up staying we just have to hope he can be more consistent and get himself of the clangers leaderboard.

[ 5 ]Last question, realistic prediction of what we will finish next year with the sort of team we have now. Obviously, trading hasnt started but just have an estimate.

Really too early to predict, but at this stage I would say it is unlikely that we will make the 8.

I reckon that Bowdo and Richo may be a little more enticing to opposition coaches than many give them credit for.

For a start, forget what opposition supporters think of them, especially Richo. Coaches know the true worth of players - they have insiders watching each club's training, and even their own players can give them a the best analysis of opposition players. Tell me one who'd like matching up on Richo ?

And how much do you reckon Paul Roos or Neale Daniher or Peter Rohde would love Richo in their forward line ?

Joel Bowden would also be a front line player at any club ... consistently draws the best mid-size go-with player each week.
