Carroll, Wooden Dropped

The West Coast Eagles have made their final changes for this week's encounter with Sydney at the SCG and have dropped Trent Carroll and Josh Wooden from last week's team.

Also left out of the initial 26 man squad is ruckman Dean Cox.
Troy Wilson and Phil Read come into the team, with Wilson set to be the number one target at full-forward.
The Eagles have stated they will take two emergencies to Sydney, and with Michael Gardiner having a slight ankle problem, Cox will most probably make the trip along with Wooden.
On the smaller SCG surface, Trent Carroll could be surplus to requirements and is expected to line-up in the WAFL for Claremont against East Fremantle on Saturday.
That match can be heard live on 990AM radio's WAFL 'Match Of The Day'.

Promising 19-year-old Brent Staker, who was taken out of East Fremantle, had been included in the squad, but Sumich said the move was to benefit the rookie from the experience of being with the team.

"He is coming over for a bit of experience," Sumich said.

"He pulled up a little bit sore yesterday but he will come over for the flight.

"His parents are from that area and he is going over for the experience, that's all."

Bad luck for Wooden, I dont think it will be his last year with us though. He was fantastic for us last season and I think he will get back into the team before the year is out. Good to see Read back in the side though.

Cox going over as an emergency doesnt sound good.
