Finals Discussion Thread

Hey guys,

Thought it might be good to have a thread dedicated to random discussion about the finals. The Dogs match threads are always lots of fun and figured that a lot of us will be tuning into the finals anyway so may as well have a discussion thread going. We've got the non-bulldog footy talk thread, but there's normally other conversations going on in there so it seems logical to try and confine this to a separate thread.

I ran it past Igloo, so if any mods think it's unnecessary, blame him.

Anyway, what's everyone's thoughts on tonight's match? Think Hawthorn will get up but Buddy and Rioli are pretty big outs for them. Will be pretty close I reckon. Hard to see the Swans winning though imo.

I still think the Swans will get up. Don't underestimate Tippett in this match, tore Hawthorn a new one last year, and don't think they have anyone that can go with him. Lake isn't a good match for him either. It's going to be a close match though I think. Both subs should provide a bit of spark when they come on too.

Lake's a lot slimmer this year though, might be able to deal with him a bit better. Plus, it'll probably get down to him a bit less often than it did when he played for us.

Can't wait to see Jetta come on. Could tear them a new one if he comes on at the start of the fourth when everyone's tired.

Was quite good. Work up the ground was a highlight. Would still rather use our money on a true FF rather than a player like White though.

Yeah, depends which side of the Jones argument you're on. I like him up the ground but a lot of others like him close to goal too. Would be interesting to see.

Tough one to pick at the minute. Swans look more dangerous imo but Hodge is killing them.
