Finals Fever Hits Brisbane!

Forget the fact that Full members have until 9pm tonight to secure their 'own' seat for this weeks Final.

Apparently there are people everywhere down at the Gabba. Car parks overflowing, pedestrians holding up peak hour traffic, and staff unable to get a car park and having trouble getting to the office.

Great to see!

just got home from the Gabba....the wait for tickets was 40 minutes and while i was waiting people just kept coming in....Saturday nights gonna be great!!!

How are the ticket sales going?

Going pretty good by the sounds of it.

When I was at the social club this morning a couple of ppl came in that were't actually able to purchase any today as they weren't members.

They said they would be back around 2.30 tomorrow and were told they would be lucky to get any at 2.30 tomorrow.

Now, personally I don't think they will sell out that quickly - but I really doubt there will be any left on Saturday night to be sold at the gate.

Public tickets go on sale today (Wednesday) and according to the AFL website there is still 16000 tickets available.

Yeah I saw that 16 000 there last night. What's great about that is it means a good 19 000 at least went on the members priority days.

Now we have 22 000 members of which 4500 are in Victoria. So that must mean that 99% of members up here took up their tickets along with the trust members, cricketers club members, and of course the Lions staff, players families, directors etc etc.

Looks like it will be a bumper night.

Got my tickets about 1730 on Monday - waited about five minutes, just enough time to drink a cup of coffee - the longest waiting time was actually after they called my number, as I waited about 5-10 minutes then.

Now 5,000 tickets left ...

I might not get to watch all the game if I decide to work on Saturday night. Will only get to see the first half.
