The following ticketing arrangements will apply for Adelaide Football Club members for the 2006 Toyota AFL Finals Series.

Home Finals - Weeks 1 – 3

The following arrangements will apply if AFC hosts a home final at AAMI Stadium.

Supporters should refer to the AFL Supporter Bulletin to be posted in The Advertiser on the Monday before each match for up to date ticketing information.

Members are reminded that they will not be able to use their season ticket to gain entry to finals and will need to purchase tickets through BASS.

Tickets for all home finals will go on sale from 9am on the Monday prior to each match through all BASS outlets, on line at bass.net.au and BASS Dial ‘n’ Charge (phone 131 246) subject to the priorities listed below.

Please note that reserved seats occupied throughout the year will not be available to members for finals matches as tickets will be sold on a ‘best available’ basis. Members will however be able to choose the general vicinity they wish to sit in.

Membership cards and concession ID must be presented at the point of purchase and collection.

AFC V Interstate Club
9.00am Monday prior to the match
Tickets on sale to Captain’s Club, Gold and Silver members, AAMI Stadium Cat 1 & 2 members, Victorian Members and AFL members with AFC club support. These groups will have two days priority to purchase their tickets
9.00am Wednesday prior to the match
All remaining tickets will be available to all AFC members, general public & guest pass sales (Members Reserve only) until sold out.

Away Finals – Weeks 1 – 3
AFC members will be able to purchase tickets to away finals (with equal priority as opposition club members) through the relevant ticketing agent for the host venue subject to capacity. A list of ticketing agents and their contact details follows. Generally, all tickets to AFL finals will be on sale from 9.00am on the Monday prior to the match in the state in with the match is to be played.

AFL Grand Final

The following arrangements will apply for the selling of Grand Final tickets to members should the Adelaide Football Club be fortunate enough to participate in the 2006 Grand Final. Please note that these arrangements were correct at the time of publication but are subject to change.

The Club will write to all eligible members in late August/early September with full details and instructions about how and when to access a Grand Final ticket. Eligible members will also receive a Ticketmaster barcode which members will need when booking a ticket. Members should retain this bar code if they intend to purchase a ticket.

The following priorities are in place for the allocation of Grand Final tickets.

Gold and Captain’s Club members are the only AFC members who are guaranteed an opportunity to purchase a Grand Final ticket if the Crows participate.:thumbsu:

Priority 1
All Captain’s Club members
All Gold members (except AFL full members with AFC club support*)

Priority 2
AFC Silver members
AAMI Stadium Ultimate & Essential Crows members (non gold)
AFC Victorian members (non gold)
AFL Silver members (with AFC club support, non AFC gold)*

It is anticipated that Gold Members will take up the large majority of the Club’s allocation of Grand Final tickets if AFC participates. It is likely that a very limited number of residual tickets will be available to Priority 2 members.

For Priority 1 members, the Club will implement an automated ticket pre-booking system (as in 2005) which will enable members to book their tickets in advance and will eliminate the need for members to queue to purchase a Grand Final ticket.

Priority 2 members will have a limited opportunity to purchase any residual tickets if and when AFC is confirmed as a Grand Finalist. Information regarding the sales process, which will be an electronic system to avoid queuing, will be communicated to members when their bar code is forwarded in late August / early September. Members in this large group should understand that availability of tickets at this stage is likely to be very limited.

*AFL Members (with AFC Club Support)

AFL Full Members, including those with an Adelaide Football Club Gold Membership, are required to purchase a ticket into the AFL Reserve via AFL Members’ arrangements. Tickets will not be available to AFL Full members through the Club’s allocation.

AFL Silver Members will be required to purchase a ticket though the Adelaide Football Club’s allocation. AFL Silver Members, who also have AFC Gold membership will be able to purchase at Priority 1. AFL Silver Members who do not hold AFC Gold Membership will have a limited opportunity at Priority 2 (refer above).

Please note that these arrangements are correct as at the time of publication but are subject to change at any time.

I was going to start a new thread but this is as good a place as any. When do the tickets for the Showdown go on sale to Gold Members?

Monday the 14th of August is for Gold and Bronze* Members and Tuesday the 15th of August is for Adelaide Crows sliver Gold member

Wednesday the 16th of August for everyone else.

I believe that's how it goes, may want to check the Bronze membership details as i am not 100% certain if they get tickets early for Port Adelaide home games

Top work C98 :thumbsu:

Now find me the scalper in Melbourne who will sell me a pencil and 4 GF ticket ( if we make it) for $500 each or less :D

Sorry PC, I am using my 2 Gold membership ticket if we make it.

Already made appointments in the calendar for the Friday the 29th of September, so I accidentally :D double book anyone.

ah gotta luv the peace of mind being a gold member :D

Best $82 I have spent in a long time (well that I can remember the next day):D

I am just glad I have a gold ticket.

When I renewed my other ticket on the last day, I could have upgraded that to gold if I wanted to, so anyone that wanted to upgrade had the opportunity to.

I just cant believe some supporters didnt upgrade when they renewed their ticket to save $83, but then will spend hundreds of dollars at the end of the year to buy tickets from scalpers

I think the gold memberships ended up selling out, didn't they?

They have sold out, but they didnt sell out until a few weeks after the renewal period which means that anyone that wanted to upgrade could have when they did their renewal.

There is a maximum of 10,000 gold tickets, last year there was about 7,000 - 8,000 gold members when it closed off for the year, meaning that there was more GF tickets available for silver members whereas this year the whole 10,000 has gone which will leave about 4,000-5,000 tickets left for the remaining 35k members.

true, but I would rather spend $80 pre season than spend about an extra $500 to get GF tickets if we make it.
I'm a gold member ... and glad of it. But just saying it hasn't been worth anything to me yet (unless you place value on those poxy gold 'extras' like a cap or bag).

The Gold membership has been worth it as it gives me a solid piece of mind knowing that if all things go to plan I will not miss out on a Grand Final ticket.

Like I said, I'm a gold member and agree it offers good peace of mind.

But I was just thinking about it the other day and thought I've paid the extra for seven seasons (since 1998) without any real benefit. Hopefully we'll get a chance to make the most of it this year.

I've no complaints and paid it since 97 when it didn't get you tickets :( (including paying for it while o/s / interstate as well)

It has paid it's way if you consider access to home finals and not just GF tickets. We have a large group of friends that have managed to sit together for finals as we all have gold tickets. Access to the Shed after matches which is a standard for my family has also been worth it.

I am glad that they have upped the standard of our merchandise as I remember the first hats and what crap quality they were and what we get now. That bag is nice and handy for the wet weather gear ;)

Last year when we played Port Adelaide in the ultimate final, I drew the unlucky straw and was required to sleep at the BASS outlet so we could get some tickets to the game This year I wouldn’t have to do that so that another bonus (not that Port Adelaide will make the finals)
