ROFLFMAO

You set the standard Astro. If someone can love both Carlton and Richmond then i'm sure people in the Middle East can come to love Jews and Palestinians alike. :D

lmfaooo Ox. I was expecting you to chime in any second and argue that it was all Danny's fault.
You guys were having too much fun :D

I felt it would have been rude of me me to Intervene .

Anyway,we all know it was all Frawleys fault at the end of the day.
He should never have sacked Knighta or done it the way he did.
IMO the backlash thru the club was massively destabling.

Danny sacked Knights
Danny hired Campbo because Campbo had a lot of pull at the club and
spud wanted in,just like he did and was at st.kilda.
I believe this is why wayne was demoted to the 2s in the intra club match.
Terry has recognised Campbells surly lipped complacency that has festered since the days of Bullus and Daffy,a time when the players were running the
club basically with their rampant egos and dreams of being in a band as well as playing footy and isn't going to cop it.

If Cambo plays in the F pocket and can have an organistic effect similar to the way that Freezer did in the back line then were onto something.
Other than that, with the kids we have coming thru,it's game over.
Be interesting to see if Wayne does the KB when his time comes.

Fiora is a dud and may scoop the cream of the top of the sainters pie occassionally but more often than not will be the same player.

John & Astro -

congratulations on the most amazing thread I have across in my time at BF. I was expecting either one of you to pull up stumps but you both kept on going. Good stuff.

For what its worth, I'm a huge Campbo fan and feel that he has unfairly fel the wrath of Tiger supporters over the years. I wouldn't call him an elite midfielder but certainly he's an AA midfielder. His club record also places him as one of the best Tiger players (ever). No he doesn't have the flags but his B&F record is excellent. I know the competition was poor but nevertheless, his record is outstanding.

Go Campbo and Go Tiges

It is amazing the difference when a civil discussion is ensued about a difference of opinion ...... as opposed to getting on this board and others throwing all sorts of shyte at all and sundry supporting the yellow and black.

FWIW , I do agree with you on a lot of your points , i do think that this club.... more than anyone else , suffers from the pressures of under-achievement that are placed on it by it`s supporters , but that is because of our biggest strength IMO , which is our passion .

It`s a catch 22 really , if we didn`t care so much ..... would the club still be around ?

I really believe that the club has the correct measures in place now to steer the us in the right direction , and by and large , that is all the rest of the punters are saying ........ and in the words of the great Axl Rose " All we need is just a little patience "

Who do you actually go for Richmond or Carlton? I can't see how anyone could barrack for two clubs.

It would appear you are a Carlton supporter as seem to enjoy sledging Richmond especially on opposition boards. Do you have a membership for both clubs?

In which case as a Richmond member I feel I have every right to be furious about the pathetic low our proud club has reached over the last 20 years. In all of my life I have only seen Richmond make the finals twice, so of course I am going to be pretty ********ing upset at the output of the players and coach's when they drop 14 games in a row in disgracefull fashion.

However I guess by following two teams you probably wouldn't know what this feels like, the feeling of anger and frustration when the team you and your family have been following for 3 generations plays with no pride at all. Maybe every Richmond supporter should start following a second team and lose some of that passion we are renound for.

Anyway I'm very happy so far with the shake up Wallace has begun to implement and I'm optimistic that I probably won't have to start following a second team and bagging Richmond on opposition boards.

I'd take it one step further Oxx and say its all St Kilda's fault for developing such a loser with their crap loser culture, I'd say he was actually a cancer that spread his mental non achievements into our already fragile club.

Also the fact that St Kilda has single handedly with the AFL's help just about brought this competition to its knees due to the fact that they sat on the bottom for so long and gained the best possible picks not only used to draft the top talent in the land but also trade decent picks for better players putting them in ideal bargaining positions.

St Kilda are ruining this competition, and with our thanks we give them Fiora.

Hope it stuffs them right up.

"In swoops Fiora on a mission, a new man at St Kilda look at him fly, kicks the ball long into the opposition forward line....." somethings will never change

Fiora is a DUD.

Here.there.everywhere PRR !!!

I recently asked a top 3 media personality/ex-footballer what his opinion of Frawley was.

After the obligatory answer of "he's a reaaly nice guy" (which was greeted by me with a cold stare) he went on to make the following statement.

"No other man in the history of the game has watched the ball being kicked over his head resulting in a score more than Frawley.
It's not his fault,he's conditioned to accept failure of this nature."

LMAOOO and this is from his peers.

U DUD !!!!

Would just like to be the first person to say thanks for fiora :p
I just want to let you know that in last nights intra club game he played awesome and was judged one of the best on ground. This thread isn't an attempt at being a troll, just wanted to tell you.
Hopefully knobel is having the same results as what we have got out of fiora

Fiora is a dud just wait and see

Great posting here guys. LMAO. It's as if Spud's intention was to infiltrate a club with as much confusion as what his entire plays consisted of, in as little time as possible. Well Spud, you nearly succeeded, but we'll fight through waht you've left us with.

Hope TW performed an exorcism on anything that had been remotely Frawleyed, and we can forever be rid of the giant potato. Fiona can go with him too. So can his wife.

He was with us, but you never know he might reach his full potential at the Saints.

and milnedogg, we got Simmonds for trading away Fiora, so Knobel is not the player to be asking about

and yes Simmonds is looking very very good

Yes i have a membership to both teams, and have never found it hard to juggle the two. I have only seen richmond make the finals twice as well, so i get your pain. I may go for two teams, but i still go pratically every week, and have seen them get pumped as often as you have. They have disappointed me thousands of times also. Still, our supporters have gotta chill out a little bit. maybe we just gotta re-learn just how to "enjoy" the football.

i'm happy to see the Wallace input as well, but even spud in his first two years looked to have re-livened up the place. im excited about the young kids as well, but i want to make sure everyone isnt expecting too much to early from them, and turn on them within the end of the season - like we did with murphy, rodan, fiora, pettifer. We got into them well before they probably deserved it, and im positive that didn't help them to becoming better players (Would you work better if someone came to your work and called you a useless prick all day?) But the ball hasn't even touched the turf, deledio hasnt had his first kick, and we havent had our first loss or win. so lets be just be excited, and not excited and over anxious.

LOL nineteen eighty, if you like reading spiels about Campbell just follow every second post I make, it's usually got to do with how underrated Campbell is and and how good he was.

Yeah I've picked that up John but each to their own. You have your opinions and I have mine. Either way, I'm sure we'll both be cheering for them come tomorrow night.

Does anyone know of a good spot to watch the game at Telstra Dome? I've watched Aust v Ireland in the Rugby World Cup there but never an AFL game. I'm down from Sydney and can't wait for tomorrow night. I wasn't looking at pre-purchasing a ticket...simply rock up on the night.

Go Tiges

Level 2 on the wing is great. on the spencer street side. this is also a ripper because its only a very short walk from the legends bar for some beers right up until the opening siren, and at half time. Its got great viewing everywhere really. but level two, on the wing.

even level one on the wing.

but level 2 has padded seats!

I agree with all these sentiments. Since I started supporting the Tiges as a kid, Campbell immediately became my fave, and has been ever since. It's not easy being a Campbo follower with the abuse he receives that mostly isn't warranted. Some of the highlights for me as a kid new to footy was sending letters to Wayne and receiving replies. I had them on my wall for a while, and I still have them 7/8/9 years on.

Fiora looked good on a wing today- 18 possies - I supergoal another supergoal attempt hit the post good contested marks, good pace long, kicking- Looks like the number 3 pick will show his true colours at the Saints - Well at least we have Knobel .................(falls down laughing.!!!)

Would have prefered to lose Tivendale over Fiona.

for gods sake lets not get carried away here, one game doesnt constitute him been the real deal....

im sure he played at least an equivelent game for us in one of his previous seasons, lets revisit this at about half way of the season proper before declaring him to b worthy of his lofty draft number....

at the end of the day good luck to the kid but still a lot of water to passed under the bridge.....

its amazing how good a player can look in a half decent side super goal or no super goal...

Fiora always had the goods at the tiges, but was played in the wrong positions and told to play a game that was unnatural to him. Look, I was as dirty on him for the way he played sometimes. I still credit him as losing us two games in 2003 against Geelong (flattened Newman who had the mark covered in a marking contest which allowed Ablett to score a goal and get Geelong the lead back after we had dragged back an eight goal deficit) and Carlton (dragging down the Carlton dufus in the goal sqaure in the last minute to lose the game), which started the rot for Danny.

But our game plan gave him no chance. There was one game last year when he was streaming forward about 70 out and you could tell he wanted to bomb it. Richo was one out 25 metres out, Could have doubled back, made Fiora kick long and the result would have been a long Fiora goal, a Richo mark , or at worst a one on one in the square. Instead Richo leads to the pocket demanding the pass, Fiora checks, confused, delivers to the lead, hits Richo at full pelt on the outstreched hands, but under pressure he spills it. By this time the loose tall has come across and another defender has dropped back -3 on 1 , easy clearance. Even if Richo had marked it - He was only about a 30% chance to kick it.

There was no need for Fiora to have become a close checking body to body defender, playing percentage football. His skills had to be exploited - pace, evasion, long kicking and good high marking. Wing/outside midfielder sounds about right... not too tricky. I'm sure Tambling's best position is not full back either!!

Having said the above, Fiora's weakness is in the mind - but I always saw him as a player who could let a bad mistake get to him but equally if he had his ego stroked - could see himself as the superstar midfielder - Maybe the saints are better strokers than we were.
