Now that we have all seen Chris Judd make his debut in full Carlton gear, I was just wondering as to which first appearance was more exciting for you Carlton fans? Greg 'Diesel' Williams in full blue, or Chris Judd in a decked out ensemble?

For me, I was still trying to find out what colour blue was when Diesel came over to us, so I have to choose Judd. He looks so stunning, although I think it's time for another shave of the head:p.

Obviously that was a part of it ..The only transfer that made as much waves ..(apart from the Barrassi one) was Lockett going to the Swans .
Carlton were the front runners for his services as well ..until the powers to be decided that Lockett was just the thing the Swans needed to promote the game in Sydney. :mad:

Silvio Foschini made big news but that was more to do with the legal implications re his move.

For years I'd been saying we need someone like Diesel, but when we finally got him I thought he was too old. As they said, "Too old, too slow, two brownlows". For that matter I thought they were mad getting the Hyphen. In my defence I was rapt to get Madden.

So for me Judd.
 
I hated Diesel b4 he came to Carlton. I was happy to have such a good player coming to Carlton. And i warmed very quickly to him after I saw him in a Navy Blue jumper!!! :p;)

Judd is an out and out champion and I was estatic at even the thought of getting him! :D And to finally see him running around in the Navy Blue is just a beautuful sight!!!! :thumbsu: :)

Sorry Eddie, I've tried and tried but I'm afraid I can no longer desist. I'm introducing The Eddie File. You've tempted me once too often. Not making fun but you have a grouse way of expressing yourself at times and I want to collect the pearls for posterity.

As for the thread, all I will say is should we get out of Juddy what we got out of Diesel I'll be content.

That combined with the fact he was suspended for the first six or seven rounds.

I think Williams' tribunal history took away from his credibility until he proved himself as the champion he was. With Judd we're getting a premiership captain as well as a brownlow medalist in a time when our only other premiership player, Hadley, was traded for in the same week.

I think the depths of our lows recently have bumped up the hype surrounding Judd. He's put in our faces every day and it has been coupled with the off field turn around of the club. We're chasing the membership dollar!

Of course, theres also a bunch of talented new kids on the Princes Park block. This has to be the most exciting pre-season I have been involved with (mind you, when I really got into my footy, we were just starting our descent).

I too never liked the pre -CFC Diesel and even once with us was not fond of him but loved what he did for the team. Judd on the other hand I respect as a person and a player. I just pray he meets our expectations!

I was very pleased with the signing of 'diesel' and like this year , couldn't wait for the new season to start . Difference is this time around it's a lot more painful and I am a lot more exited with Judd joining us , albeit in 3 years when his groin finally heals :rolleyes: . Not long til round 1 .

One of the great reads. Does DeBolfo write all the Blueseum bios? If so he does a magical job. A REALLY great read it brought back memories and incidents I'd long forgotten. What a player. Diesel - a deadset ringer for Senator John Faulkner too I reckon.
