Am reading a book by James Bulger's father. Thought I had read it before, but it must have been a different one.

The first chapter is actually really lovely, the way he describes his son before he was murdered.

And then yeah obviously from there on in it's not that great.

Is like a knife to your chest the massive "what if"/irony- that morning the day of, the wife wanted him to take their son for the day. But he was doing some carpentry and said no- due to the fact they'd be on the power tools and it wouldnt be safe for James to be around them.

Yeah it was just one cluster **** that day- lots of witnesses seeing the distressed boy being lead away (they walked like 2 miles!) and no one stepped in to intervene.
