My pay went up a whopping $13 clear per fortnight.

Will definitely come in handy for all the inflation rises and when my mortgage probably doubles comes the end of the year :rolleyesv1:[emoji3060]
Yeah it's great isn't it.

That's before tax too

We were talking about this the other day- like teachers who work 4 days a week, if they come in for a 5th day as an ET and do sub work- its just not worth it because of tax.

Need a cash in hand job- go around the neighbourhood, walk dogs or something.

I'm gonna do my tax "return" this week, have not got my hopes up at all. A colleague (who has the same job as me, except 4 day per week, while I'm 5 days)- she got $800.
I probably owe them at least $30k in CGT for the last 2 years. Used an accountant for the first time in ages because it was getting to complicated and he still hasn't finished the one from the year before last :drunk:

When you owe money don't really care how long it takes but although I think he was sick and his dad died I just wonder whether he's lost the plot or something, I gave him the stuff like 8 months ago..

They do though give you a 50% discount once you hold past 12 months. Thing with a house sale it's all in one hit, can't be spread over different financial years.

Most annoying is when a company goes bust and is off the board not trading, I have a $7k loss on one but apparently they can be technically "alive" for years in limbo. There should be some way that you can just give them back for nothing so you can them use it as a tax write off.

Looks like a young Zsa Zsa.

Thanks for paying your taxes. My Aged Care package went up $5 per day! Of course, my provider's fees went up. My helper now gets extra for using her car to take me mainly to specialists in the city. My return trip from Melton to the Showgrounds cost $267 last week, compared to $169 for the same trip last month. Taking an Uber would have cost $66, but out of my pocket.

I'm also applying to get a combination rollator/transit chair to replace my current rollator. The OT has to visit to OK it and help me choose. That will be about $180 for the visit, and I'm sure he'll recommend the same model for $237 that I've seen on Amazon, from a mobility store that will cost twice as much. My neurologist wants me to get a wheelchair, but I'd only use it at this stage when I go out. I plan on getting an electric wheelchair once using my rollator/transit is no longer feasible. That'll mean having to be approved to go up a level in my AC I don't know if I'll be around that long. LOL

I've missed all of the chat that used to be this thread. I'm watching both BDs, though online. I also have been watching Million$Island. I hate almost all of the finalists. Only lasted an hour watching Rush. Meh. I understand that that tennis stuff was going on in England again and that there's some cricket tournament also. Mmmm...yawn.

Zsa Zsa has been spending more time with me on my living room recliner. Only took her six years!

Should have done my tax return at home instead of work. At least I could be swearing, screaming and crying right now, maybe busting a few things up rather than being composed and silent.
You just discovered the cancellation of the low to middle income tax offset?
Yep, welcome to the club.
Absolute balls.
I for one agree, **** the government, forever and always, bunch of absolute greedy campaigners.

That was $1500 tho. Still doesnt explain the estimated amount, even accounting for that to be subtracted.

Past years- 7k, 5k, 6k... even last year was 2.5k. In my book that still leaves at least a thousand dollars, not forty ****ing six bucks. Feel like telling them to ****ing keep it, I dont even ****ing want it.

Yeah that sucks a metric mile of dick if you were budgeting for that kind of return!
Makes me feel even more hatred towards them, if that was even possible.
