I almost dieded today! I went to Highpoint and had a really difficult time walking around with my rollator. I had to stop about every fifty paces to rest. Luckily I had planned my trip so I knew where to go. Ted's was easy to get to. My new passport photo makes me look really old, especially in contrast to mine from ten years ago. Lady at Australia Post was very helpful. Everything is in the mail so I hope to get the new passport in a month. The biggest problem I had was catching an Uber back. I booked it and the driver couldn't find me. She had never been to Highpoint before. I even rang her to give her my exact whereabouts but she cancelled. I told her where the taxi stand was near the busses on Level 3 and she went all the way over to The Aquatic Centre which I had never even heard of before. I got charged $10 cancellation but just appealed it. The next driver had no trouble finding me. I did spend some time outside in the warm weather though I stayed in the shade. I'm absolutely exhausted now. I don't think I'll ever go a large shopping centre again unless I really have to. I could never walk around a Target or KMart. I miss the lockdown.

I might have had the meeting point in the wrong place, but the second driver found me. The cancellation cost of $10 was more than the actual trip would have cost since I have 30% off each trip this week. It was $7.57 going there and $8.21 coming home. I'll see if I get the $10 refunded as a credit.

I decided to get Maccas tonight. Free delivery. I got a McFeast which I've never had and a frozen Grape Fanta. I'm too buggered to cook for myself. Tomorrow I have a small turkey roast for Thanksgiving.

A type of tuber, kinda like sweet potatoes (which technically aren't potatoes iirc)

I have sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce(from Belgium!) boxed stuffing and roasted vegetables. I forgot to buy canned green beans and cream of mushrooom soup to make a green bean casserole. No pumpkin pie- yecchh. I have some of that Conniesieur Raspberry with White Chocolate ice cream and Magnum White Chocolate and Cookies ice cream. I'm glad I'm not having my friends over. I'm way too tired after today to cook a big meal.

I have two Christmas parties to go to next month, one hosted by a former colleague and the other with the neighbours at a restaurant. It's my friend's daughter's 60th birthday party at Taylors Lakes Hotel right before Christmas. I hope that my Super comes through by then so I can win another jackpot there like i did two years ago. Speaking of money... lol Another two letters today from my late aunt's lawyers in California. Her home did sell for AU$1.07 million. We still don't know how much was in her accounts. I might buy myself a wheelchair and/or an electric mobility scooter with my share of the money. The scooter would make me more independent again. I could even get to the footy in it.

About 25 others. The trust is divided into shares. My siblings and I get my late mum's shares. My aunt(mum's sister-in-law) also had about twenty bank accounts and other accounts. My brother added them up and it came to hundreds of thousands. She was Mexican so some of her relatives are in Mexico, so the shares are evenly split, half to her Mexican relatives and half to us gringos. She was actually my uncle's third wife. My brother thinks we should get about AU$50000 each. They never met her. I did on numerous occasions when I traveled back here after visiting my family in Chicago. I always stopped in LA to visit my family there. She even wrote to me here back in the 70s and 80s. She had been a teacher so we hit it off. My uncle only had one son from another marriage. We figure that my uncle left everything to my aunt when he died and my cousin got nothing at the time. He receives the largest share now.
