I re-watched the first episode of MKR but again I got sidetracked by other things. I might try to catch up later in the week, but I don't know if it's worth it. I've been watching the American election returns in Iowa on YouTube. That'll be for a few more hours I think.

Bernie would have lost even more. Not much of a choice for the Democrats in 2016. I did not contribute any money to any Presidential candidate, though I voted for Hillary. I gave money to my House Rep and for Senator. I have contributed to one Presidential candidate so far this election.

Yes. Last night's was over an hour and 45 minutes long. Tonight's is scheduled to be an hour and a half. That's been my biggest complaint about this version. Episodes are too long and on too often. An hour or hour and 15 minutes twice a week would be OK with me.
Here I am thinking there was an episode on now.

It was intriguing because we got to see the process of how the quirky caucus system works. I've watched it before, but the coverage was far more personal and explanatory yesterday. Using modern technology to hope to be more transparent is what screwed things up. Hopefully Iowa will lose its place in the primary system in 2024 and the caucus system will be banned. Iowa actually screwed things up in the Republican caucuses in 2012. Three different candidates were eventually declared the winner in six months. I've always been an election nerd.

LOL I forgot about that but it can be overcome. I like the talk about Illinois becoming the first state to vote since it demographically is more indicative of the US population. The DNC would need to figure out a way around New Hampshire law then, because they have a state law that requires them to hold their primary 7 days before any other vote in a primary

I can not understand how a state can make a law which deals with something political which should be under the realm of the federal government or none of their business at all. That's "Merica! Enough political talk for the day. I'm exhausted after posting in the political Trump and Presidential nominees threads. So many armchair honorary American know-it-alls in each! LOL At least it's kept me occupied the past two days. But I've neglected my MKR catch ups.
