Not in 30 some years. I did watch it at the start but switched to H&A when Neighbours was being shown directly against H&A in Melbourne after it started. I used to watch H&A and record Neighbours and watch that one later but fell behind and eventually gave up on Neighbours. It was filmed near where I lived in Box Hill and we often saw the stars shopping in our shopping centre. Who would have thought that tiny Kylie would end up a huge star?
Home and Away is kind of like my comfort food from the good old days. I did miss 17 years of it, but picked it back up in a flash three years ago when I returned.

I have on occasion walked past visiting a family member watching H+A so at least seen a few moments of it in recent years but I don't think I've seen even a single second of Neighbours in like 10+ years?
Both shows you kind of had to watch as a kid as there were only 2 stations and Mum and the much older sister controlled the TV.. I did watch still watch Neighbours sometimes back in the early 00s.

Watching H&A is like me watching American Survivor now. Survivor brings back memories of me living with my parents when i returned to the states 20 years ago just like H&A reminds me of my happiest years of teaching in the mid 80s and early 90s(except for the year I lived in Perth, of course )

Ch 10 just started in Perth the year before I moved there! I think it was Ch 0 then just like in Melbourne.
Tell you something funny, back in the early 90s boths shows when aired in the country they were months (or even years?) behind the city. Can't remember when they eventually decided to bring them up to speed.

I just read about that tonight trying to find out about both being shown in Perth. Perth is the Tasmania of the western part of the nation. LOL My dad said when visiting Tasmania in Jan 1983, that it reminded him of the states in the 50s. He and my mum fell in love with Tassie.
