The once unthinkable call not to show a primetime game between the Blues and the Bombers is indicative of how much the one-time powerhouse clubs are on the nose with the football public.
The AFL’s free-to-air broadcaster, the Seven Network, has snubbed Carlton and Essendon, dumping football’s fallen giants from a primetime fixture in the final round of the home-and-away season.

Saw my optometrist today for my twice yearly check up. No glaucoma test this time. Vision still remarkably good since the cataracts surgery. Everything else is stable, which is a good sign. Visit went up to $90 compared to $80 six months ago, but get $64 back from Medicare. The practice stopped bulk billing two years ago. Never a problem getting a new prescription for my glaucoma eye drops.
No more doctor visits(fingers crossed) for another month.

The father-of-two fell seriously ill on four separate occasions more than a year before the ill-fated beef wellington lunch — each time after eating a meal prepared by his estranged wife.

These were: a penne bolognese pasta dish handed in Tupperware the night before a planned camping trip to Wilson’s Prom; a chicken korma curry served the second night of a camping trip at Howqua; a beef stew prepared while he was living with Erin recuperating from his last illness; and a curry wrap while on a nature walk at Wilsons Prom.
