Good afternoon!

Haven't really felt well today. It happens every so often. I thought I might be coming down with the flu, but I'm feeling better now. Had my cereal for breakfast about a half hour ago. The usual fish for dinner with salad and potato wedges. A scone with jam and whipped cream for dessert.

A found a great deal on Menulog today which I'll use tomorrow or Sunday. Spend $40 and get $20 off. Can't decide on a pizza with Caesar salad or an Oporto meal. I've never had Oporto since it's a bit expensive. Of course I can always get five Subway wraps. That should be enough for two days. I'm also thinking of a steak dinner. I can't resist a bargain.

Didn't use my Menulog code today. Stomach wasn't feeling the best. I did narrow down my selections: Pad Thai with mixed seafood and Tom Yum soup with mixed seafood for $20 or my usual family sized pizza with, olives, anchovies, jalepenos, hot salami, shrimp and sun dried tomatoes and a chicken Caesar salad for $21. I also looked at a Scotch fillet steak with chips and salad for $23. I'll see how I feel tomorrow and make my decision. Sunday is the last day to use the code.

All I've done is watch footy on my laptop today. Footy tipping : 2 - 3 so far. Last year at this time I was vying for a top three finish on the main BF thread. I had already won the Bulldogs BF contest, a three peat for me. Maybe next year...

We didn't end up going to a Greek restaurant. Went to the pub instead .

Tonight's game was close. Collingwood are stumbling but they'll still probably make top 4.

Next week's match between the Bulldogs and Fremantle will decide who makes the 8. (Provided of course that the Bulldogs beat West Coast tomorrow).

I wish we had a Greek restaurant within the Menulog or Doordash serving area. I've been to one in Niddrie twice. First time was with three friends after my $5200 pokies win. We got both a meat platter and a seafood platter. I think I spent about $250 of my winnings that night, but it was so worth it. The next time was when my brother visited me for my birthday seven years ago. Haven't been back since. There was a good variety of ethnic restaurants not far from where I lived. Now I'm surrounded by Indian restaurants. At least we have a few good pizza places here.

Went into Chinese last night 5.10 just after they opened with nobody in there.

They go 1 hour wait for my takeaway, surely that is excessive.

Today is the 21st anniversary of my father's death. He had been on life support for four days after having a brain aneurysm. My mother allowed the doctors to turn off his machine when told that he had no hope of recovery and that his liver was acceptable as a transplant. It was an easy decision, as we knew dad wouldn't want any extraordinary means to keep him "alive". He quietly passed into Eternal Life about seven minutes after life support was turned off and the transplant surgery commenced.

By coincidence, the closing hymn in the Sunday Service I'll watch from Washington DC tonight is the hymn that was sung as dad's coffin left the church after his funeral mass: Holy God, We Praise Thy name.

I had to update the public transport app and the stupid thing deleted all my Bus timetable favourites . I have an appointment this morning and I needed them. I wasted so much time and I had to rush to catch the bus!
