We need the best inside mid available, whoever that is. We don't want to have our stars like Dusty, Lids and Cotch having to go in and win it themselves. We'd much rather them on the outside having time and space with the ball.

Matt Crouch seems to fit that bill?
Yep, I'm with you. I think he will be available and being a VIC boy I don't see why he wouldn't be a huge target for us

Reading all this it seems to me I'm the only one not sold on Salem. Kicks its beautifully for my liking he just seems wait.. Loved Dunstan but videos can make everyone looks like stars. Lewis Taylor reminded me of a smaller Robert Harvey... probably because of his socks!!

Hartung looks good but a bit chaotic, like Chris Yarran, who's into him? I also think Taylor could be a gun, looks like he works hard to get a second possession like Cotch and Dusty do, has a bit of Cousins about him.

48 goals though from Garlett in the wafl in 19 games as an 18 year old small forward. You would really have to look at him.
Dunstan reminds me of Simon Black in the way he moves and kicks and looks class. Salem i see as a better version of Grigg the way he goes about it.
Lennon looked the most complete mid imo but i would still be leaning towards Garlett, but hey what do i know lol.

I think I want Lennon or Acres. Allowing them to develop in the twos for the year whilst still providing depth.

Which is great as our list is finally in a position to do so.

Taylor would be great if he wasn't such a midget. Works extremely hard.

Would he be on our radar? Very skilled also. Kicks on both sides.

Those who are talking about taking Garlett do you not remember Daniel Connors and Troy Taylor. The risk is not worth it in the slightest. Not just wasting a pick but the club culture and the media scrutiny. Just not worth it. Additionally there are massive question marks on his ability and desire to apply defensive pressure. This is the last thing our side needs. Please no more. It's just ridiculous all these Pro Garlett posts.

Spot on. I want Chocco spending his limited time teaching our younger players about running patterns, defensive discipline, attack on the pill and turning them into the players they can be.

Not counselling a kid about the chance he's been given and the downsides of getting blind this weekend.

But he's probably got good experience in it from this year. :D

Scharenberg is Goddard Version 2, has all the AFL traits and would be an absolute steal for Collingwood at Pick 6, hope one of the top 5 pick him up. Billings to Saints is a mistake in my opinion.

After watching the vids I have changed my mind.

The player that may be available at 12 with the biggest upside is.........................Blake Acres. The guy can do it all. He is a great grab, a great kick and can win his own ball. As close to a Nat Fyfe as anyone in the draft (right down to the wonky shoulder). All class.

Christian Salem is classy too but lacks the overhead prowess of Acres.

Garlett is the interesting one. He looks so smooth but the question marks against his defensive game persist. He WILL be picked up by the saints as they have 4 or 5 picks in the first 25. If you want a small forward though he is the best there.

Feel as though Gartlett is so popular amongst the board through the constant publicity surrounding his off field indiscretions, albeit he has talent yet he isn't the be all and end all in this draft, would rather Chris Cain at one of our later picks over Dayle.
