Got my doubts over this as well. I wonder what kind of player the club sees him ending up as. He did play a few games through the midfield in TAC I believe and averaged something like 28 touches, got 37ish in one IIRC so he can rack them up no doubt

No doubt he can rack them up, has even played HBF at TAC level, never thought we were a chance at him before, just hope he lasts.

Wouldn't mind any of these blokes with our latter picks...

Dwayne Wilson
Small compact forward. Has explosive leg speed and agility. A prolific ball-winner with clean hands and excellent disposal by hand or foot. Sums up the situation well and loves to take the opposition on.

I really hope this bloke falls to us cos we need a small forward and he seems the best available. Looks a player, seems skillful, unselfish and has a few strings to his bow.

Sean Lemmens
Midfielder/defender type. Medium defender who wins the contested ball and is able to find time and space to deliver the ball with precision. Kicks the ball well, has good pace, intensity and second efforts. Played all five matches for SA as an overaged player, providing great rebound for his team.

Despite his name I doubt this guy will turn out a lemon LOL. Kicks the ball well, has good contested ball winning ability, inside and outside.
seems a winner

Brady Grey
Midfielder/forward type. Medium midfielder/forward who has represented Tasmania in soccer, cricket as well as football at under-age level. Has good speed and agility, tackles aggressively and can win his own ball. Played all five matches for Tasmania at Under 18 level this year.

I'd like to develop this guy as a small forward. He's quick, skillful and agile. I reckon due to his involvement in other sports if he set his mind to it he could really develop well in that position. If not he still goes all right as a mid.

Hey tigs who are some inside mids that may be around at 50/68? I've seen Holman and Combe thrown about, the latter I'm a big fan of. Any others of note?

Ben Cavarra who won the TAC cup league best and fairest, the Eastern Ranges best and fairest, captained them to the Preimership and won the Morrish Medal for being BOG in the Grand Final.

Hewett, though he's not purely inside. He's a bit of both. I'd have him way above those 2 despite not getting talked up much. The other one I think could develop into one is Sokol. Though he's more forward atm. Thing is with the late picks is we aren't going to get a complete player so someone like Sokol could be a good get and develop him that way.

Here is Knightmare's assessment of him.
Ben Cavarra (VIC – Mid) Height: 173cm, Weight: 69kg, DOB: 20/12/1995
Recruited from: Eastern Ranges
Style:
Player comparison: Brent Harvey
Range: 40-rookie
Profile: One of the best performed midfielders in this draft and has been dominant for some time now. Cavarra is one of the elite runners in the TAC and he never seems to run out of energy as one of those little energiser bunnies who seems to be at it all game long just running and running. Cavarra wins a combination of inside and outside ball and is an on field general barking out instructions and leading his team through his actions and words which is impressive for a young draft prospect.

Cavarra?

Probably more a rookie if at all. I'm not a huge fan. He doesn't have the skills of say Hrovat or the speed of a Taylor at a similar size. As good as he is, he doesn't have that something special that makes him stand out in a draft class with a lot of really short players who are good quality. I think he will get drafted though.

His kicking isn't great.

I played with his older brother Johnny at Ferntree Gully. He is a great kid and comes from a great family

Salem , Lennon and Freeman will be gone so we'll end up with Matty Crouch which wont hurt us. The kid gets more touches than anyone in the TAC and if his hand wasn't broken and he played the complete National championships he'd be rated alot higher , the above mentioned 3 are all class though as well.

I've heard Francis has a massive hard on for the kid, make sure you have him in Super Coach next year!

Watched that Bontimpelli play for Marcellin early in the year guys and big SOS and the rest
Of his GWS cronies where there and the Hawks recruiting staff. They reckon he's the reason Collingwood worked so hard to get pick6 off Wet Toast
