If Lennon hasn't kicked a bag by christmas this board will going into melt down

"And so this is Christmas and what have you done"
Yeah but luckily our mods will step in to stop the bitching and say
"all we are saying, is give peas a chance'

B: Morris, Rance, Grimes
HB: Houli, Chaplin, Vlastuin
C: Ellis, Cotchin, Deledio
HF: Knights, Riewoldt, Martin
F: S. Edwards, Vickery, Maric
Foll: Hampson, Conca, Jackson
Int (from): Grigg, Newman, Lennon, Arnot, Petterd, King, A. Edwards
Def getting stronger by the year and more importantly more settled too.

Last year I said it will be the Concas and Ellis's improvement that will lift us to being a finals team. Same again this year with a year under Vlastuins belt and the inclusion of Hampson.

Grimes injury free (pipe dream) will be massive too. So much to look forward to in 2014 and beyond. Imagine if Jack has a good year :D

Classy 3rd forward is the position that's been a nightmare for us since Hardwick arrived, we've stocked up with young mids, it's time to complete our forward line, Lennon is the player to do it, plus he can run through the middle in time.

Not sure of Jay Clarke's credentials with regards to the draft, but he said we will most likely end up with Lennon who he thinks is the best kick in the draft. He also said he would help solve some of our forward line issues as he loves to kick goals.

Id even think McDonough could be a classy third/4th tall. (Dale Thomas type)

The other 2/3 fwds are going to have to be bloody short. :D

Agree with the first bit. Freeman has been inconsistent across games, racking up big tallies of possessions one week, and just a handful the next. This may be because he was getting tagged due to the damage he can do, or it could be that he is too reliant, as an outside player, on teammates giving the ball to him. I'm not sure. Could be both. In those two examples, he'd be a good fit for us. Cotch, Lids and Dusty would all be tagged before him, and he'd have Cotch, Conca, Foley etc. distributing the ball to him from the contests. Still, he needs to work on his outside game, which is okay, but should be better than what it is. I think with a stocked midfield like ours, he'd be able to work on this pretty quickly.

I disagree with your second point. His kicking is quite good, I think. Can hit the target across most distances, and puts it to a position that will advantage his teammate. He is also someone who kicks the ball to where the target WILL be, rather than where it IS, so it means they don't have to break stride and can move it on quickly. He also knows his limitations and plays within them. I reckon his kicking is pretty good. Definitely not poor, but not outstanding either.

Isn't there an unwritten rule to not tag at TAC cup level so the kids can show what they can do??

A little bit of gossip I have picked up second hand are lennon, acres or salem are targets for the tiges. If all 3 are gone the next choice is lewis taylor. Nothing really surprising there, but I am confident one of those four will be at RFC next year.

Don't ask me where my info. comes from because secrets should remain ...................................secret.

regards FFS
we are the only team not to have interviewed Taylor

So who are you hoping slips to #13 for the Blues - McCarthy looks like the best available as well as Needed by your club

I've changed my mind on McCarthy - at first I was hell-bent on us getting a midfielder, but now I'm not so sure given all of his press and what he can offer to us.

I think we should take the second best available KPP in the pool (McCarthy) if he's still there - and then pick up the best available midfielders to bolster our rotations.

As has been mentioned ad nauseum - this is a shallow draft for KPP, therefore take the best you can early on and then load up on midfielders at the later stages.

Pick #13 - McCarthy
Pick #39 - Bourke/Holman
Pick #51 - Cavarra/Jansen etc

Or ... if we adopt the "take the best available" approach:

Pick #13 - Freeman/Salem/Crouch/Lennon (in no particular order)
Pick #39 - Bourke/Holman/Apeness
Pick #51 - Thorp/Conlon

Either way, I'll happily back the recruiting team in.

But it looks now as if McCarthy to Brisbane is a lock at Pick #7 (according to Brett Anderson), so hopefully that sets off a chain reaction that see's a good midfielder fall to us.

Source says: "Ben Lennon interviewed very well, is mature for his age and he has a weird sense of humour "

I heard that when asked about his biggest weakness, he responded "Women".
