Apparently this works:

• If house has/had foxtel
• Cancel plan, they take back box
• Get mate/neighbour to get an extra box with their existing Foxtel plan
• Plug extra box into your satellite dish thing

I havent tried it but worth considering. Perhaps if a few bigfooty guys are in same boat you could go 3 or 4 ways and make it quite reasonable.
