I'm an AFL member and my club is Freo, so I'm a Dockers member but I'm not sure how go about derby tickets. It's irrelevant now because my dad can't make it anyway. Thanks though, dudes.

Back on topic, I'd love to make a prediction on this game but really, pre-season form is too hard to read to get a good grip on who's going to perform and who isn't.

The thing that sucks most about this 2-week Round 1 is that if we lose, we stew on the defeat for 2 weeks before a chance of redemption

This makes me want to win even more now, I hate the weeks at work coming off a loss, I get all down in the dumps and productivity is shot...

I'd forgot about that, I really hate split rounds. I can understand it as a way of putting a bye in mid season though I'd rather they just you know, put a bye in, but splitting round 1 over two weeks just makes it feel like the season has only 'kind of' started.

Makes it a showcase game for us though. The whole country will be watching, well the afl bits anyway.

Additionally Derbys are tough and the week off will help recovery.

Hate to say this but the club will be looking at round 1 only. One week at a time and all that..

Its the die hard supporters like us that are having thoughts of being 8 and 2.

Agree with you. I personally think Glass is almost our most important player. Lets hope Glass and McPharlin stay on the park all year!

Glass doesn't take the best forward and hasn't for the past 2-3 years.
He hasn't played on Pavlich for the past 4 games between them not withstanding he didn't play in the last one.

Possibly. I was thinking maybe 7-3, 9-3 by midyear. which would take the pressure off a finals push
