The right man for the job of running the Carlton Football Club is Mike Fitzpatrick, the sooner he is enticed into taking the job the sooner we can start to improve our off field position.

Not only does he have the credentials in terms of being a Carlton man, ex Captain, Premiership Player but he is also a highly successful businessman and networker and would also have the support of the majority of Carlton supporters and members, as well, I would think, the ability to unite the different factions currently fighting for control of the basket case that is Carlton.

The people of influence involved with Carlton need to pressure Mike into first coming onto the board and then taking the position of President, this in my opinion would be the one sure fire way to unify the club behind one man, a man that has the personality and profile as well as the business acumen to put the Carlton Football Club back at the top on-field and more importantly at the moment off the field.

We the members need to demand from the club via e-mail, telephone or mail that the people in charge push hard to get Mike back to the club now, if we sit back and do nothing that is exactly what will happen nothing. The infighting, mudslinging and power chasing must be stopped now before it does any more damage to our image and ability to attract and keep sponsors and backers, Mike Fitzpatrick is the man to do this and now is the time, not next week not next month and certainly not next year.

Everyone who supports this appointment please contact the club immediately and demand they make the approach, weight of numbers is our only hope so please contact the club immediately to show your support for this appointment.:thumbsu:

While it would be ideal, it wont happen for another 3years at a minimum i feel. There is a current board member who would also be ideal. Young, progressive thinker, with some serious moolah behind him.I think the spotlight should be shone on him

He's been asked before to come back on the board and said no. I wouldn't hold your breath - he wants to be on bigger boards than ours.
