Fiveaa footy call sync

Okay was trying to listen to the footy today and the game was like 4 seconds off what was on tv.

Now somebdoy rang up KG the tech expect and said the same thing that it was 4 seconds off.
KG says we can't please everyone but we have it set to the analogue sync so therefore if you have an analogue tv you should be set.
The caller on the other end really had no idea what he meant and said oh okay fair enough even though his tv is probably analogue too!

Well i hate to tell KG but my tv is analogue and i was out 4 seconds.
So what is going on?
Is it that fiveaa's coverage is really set to digital or something?

Do you have foxtel ???
Foxtel has a delay of about 4 seconds over analogue FTA TV. I always thought that digital FTA was fine, but I might be wrong, but at home FTA channels on fox arent in sync with my family room which has a SD digital box attached to the tv.

The other issue might have been a slight delay on 10 because they took the fox telecast.

I don't have fox and was just watching it on 10.

I wouldn't be surprised that this is the case.
It was the same deal on ABC mind you.

I just wish KG didn't say something that was completely wrong!

I will consider getting a digital set top box if that is what it is set to.

most definitely was out of sync
i was trying to listen to the radio at the footy but their call was about 1-2 second behind play
pretty bloody annoying so i tuned in to MMM

MMM was out by 2 seconds last week, can't win really!

More like 5 seconds.

5AA are just as bad as channel 7

It’s the Foxtel digital signal that sends it into delay, not the HD.
