Darth_Tiger said:fair enough. you remember him like that if you want. i agree that the way forward is with skilled tough players not just one of those attributes so shall we stop butting heads on this one and agree to disagree? i dont want players of his skill in the side now and we cant go back and change him now. he gave everything he had to the side so i would prefer to remember him in good light. bagging him does nothing in my most humble of opinions. i understand your thinking and i agree in a sense that we can not have room on our list for players who cant hit a target. OK?
silence ofthe Robert said:I would think that most teams would kill for a Kellaway at his best. One of the most valuable players in the league at the moment is Brett Kirk and he is only a wannabe 'glove'. To know that an opponent's star player will be ineffective is a great advantage and weapon for a coach to posess.
While we are all entitled to our opinions, I am a little surprised (in fact astonished) that Kellaway can be called a hack while posters are seriously discussing the merits of recruiting an Ackland or Knobel.
Kellaway never scragged his opponent. He beat them by judgement, his ability to read the play and a better ability to win the ball.
Finally, I would like to see a 'clangers' list to see who out of Bowden, Chaffey, Zantuck, Buckley or Kellaway was the most efficient with the ball. My money is on Duncan!

He's a champ, gave his all, and deserved a better send off than circumstances provided.
Any team would've taken Duncan while he was performing.. Plus he has killer initials![]()

yeah i would probly turn them down too, however mostly because of our current situation. a team without such deplorable skill level already might think differently. whatever. i'm getting sick of this argument.itsintheblood said:If someone came to me now and said "Here's another ducan Kellaway" I'd quickly say thanks but no thanks. What would you say considering we're screaming for some real talent in this team?

itsintheblood said:Please tell me ONE absolute highlight in Duncans career? Please tell me how he ever won us a game? He kept Nathan Buckley down to 18 disposals one or twice. Can someone please explain to me how the hell duncan kellaway ever managed to get thru the ranks and play AFL football? Has there ever been a guy with worse skills play AFL football???
Pathetic.

Its players like him that have made the club a rabble for a generation.
And to think this talentless hack is lauded as a champion!!!
If he was on anyone but Richmond list, he would of been playing suburban footy 7 years ago!!!
