And I was starting to like you...

I can't stand flossing, it's like fingers on a chalkboard to me. That said, brush twice daily, rinse regularly (not with mouthwash, there seems to be some potential health concerns there) and don't eat raw meat. Only have one filling, dentist says my teeth are perfectly fine. OP definitely has a small case of the OCDs.
You don't have to love me. You don't even have to like me. But you will respect me.

What raw meat do you eat?!

People that don't floss daily are disgusting neanderthals that belong in the 16th century with practitioners of the Spanish Inquisition.

It's not difficult to pick some up at Woolworths and take two minutes out of your day to floss. If you have the time to waste on Bigfooty, you have more than enough to floss your teeth and be a decent person.

How truly revolting.
:100:

AND you're a fan of Corbyn. Big ups, my g.

Always floss and brush in the evening, but occasionally won't bother in the morning due to time limitations (i.e. can't be bothered waking earlier). Don't replace my toothbrush nearly often enough either.

Do your cat(s) have a dental hygiene routine?

I brush my dog's teeth with this:

#### me that looks so awesome. Bacon breath. So so good.

Well, this is an interesting topic.

In simple terms, teeth have 5 surfaces: top (for biting), tongue side, cheek/lip side, front & back (in contact with adjacent teeth, where present).
Even the best toothbrush will generally only have access to 3 of those 5 surfaces: top, tongue & cheek sides.
So is cleaning 60% of your tooth surfaces acceptable?

Plaque is a combination of the bacteria and food debris that can cause decay and gum disease.
Floss, dental tape, interproximal brushes, etc. are designed to access and aid plaque removal for those other two surfaces where teeth are adjacent.
Dentists and dental hygienists will often recommend toothbrushing twice per day (after breakfast and after dinner/before bed), and flossing once per day. Most people have more time in the evening so that's usually the most practical time to floss.
Realistically many people find flossing difficult or time consuming. If you can't floss daily, then several times per week is acceptable. Only floss between the teeth you want to keep.

Those floss picks don't do the job well enough, in my experience. I use them once or twice a week to clean my teeth when I feel something stuck in there, but once a week I floss properly. Not just straight up and down, but angled to scrape against the tooth one way, then reverse the angle to scrape against the tooth the other way.

Gets so much cleaner that way. Give it a try.

I use a waterpik daily, its so good
Ive got a portable one for travelling too

  • Effective Plaque Removal: Clinically Proven to remove up to 99.9% of plaque from treated areas in 3 seconds

[*]Healthier Gums: Clinically proven up to 50% more effective than traditional dental floss

The amount of pieces that come out of your mouth after a bowl of cereal or a tabouleh is freaky
Chicken and bacon finds a way to hang on in a gap too

Where do you buy the Waterpik from?

Also how much?
Chemist warehouse has them so does ebay about $150
you can buy a Chinese knock off on Ebay for about $60 that will probably be just as good
Im going to buy a Chinese knock off in a few months as a spare and test it out.

They obviously wont last for ever even the Waterpik as there are moving parts and rubber seals.
I live near the ocean and rubber and plastic crumbles after a few years here

But teeth cost a lot of money to fix and tooth aches hurt, so if you can keep the plaque down and get the rotting food out from between your teeth, you at least lower your odds of paying to send your dentists' kid to private school.
