Hey all, i am hoping to go to the double header this friday and doubt i can drive there due to car troubles. Do u know if the footy express is on or doesn't it run until the season proper?

Without knowing for certain, it will not be running. At most the one from the city, but I really doubt that. Its just as easy to get a bus from the city though.

It probably wont be on. Last year in the preseason the footy express wasnt on untill the final.

Yeah i live near marion shopping centre so a bus may run from there. If not i guess ill be going to the city first. Cheers mate.

No chance at all of it running you will have to bus there to and from the shopping centre

I'llbe leaving by car from Moana at 1700 hours (5 pm). Anyone down south that wants a ride, let me know.
Suggest that Crows people driving from different suburbs that are happy to take passengers log it here.

hi guys..

just a question on the footy express
im flying over to adelaide for the round 2 game v stkilda
and just wondering whether the footy express picks up/drops off in glenelg..
hoping to be there 40minutes or so before the game
and are looking to stay for the after match function (providing there is one)
this usually runs for up to two hours after the game...
are there late buses out of AAMI??
Thanks for the help in advacne :)

Sammy: you should be able to get a bus from Brighton rd, as you can take Brighton rd (which turns into Tapleys rd) most of the way to AAMI

I'm not particularly familiar with the routes around Glenelg, but there are definitely 1 or 2 which pick up at Glenelg Oval. There's usually a few buses that do each route at 10-minute intervals, the last of which get to the ground about 40 minutes before the start. I think the earliest ones are 70-90 minutes before the game depending on the route.

As for after the game, the last buses usually leave 30 minutes or an hour after the game finishes. Read something about an extra late bus leaving from the Crows shed 2 hours after the game here:

http://www.ministers.sa.gov.au/news.php?id=3852&print=1

but it's the first I've heard of it. At any rate, a cab from AAMI to Glenelg would cost next to nothing, especially as there'd be no traffic by 2 hours after the game.

I hope you enjoy the city and have a truly horrible day at the footy...;)
