I have an old footy record from a Geelong V South Melbourne game dated June 22 1968. It has the stats ang goals stated properly and is in mint condition. I was just wondering if anyone would be interested in it, or do people think i should hang on to it for a little longer??

I actually collect Football Records, there are a few memorabilia places that would be keen to snap up such a piece of history. If u r in Geelong, there's this new memorabilia place opened up, I think it's called SportzNutz, it is down near Eastern beach, in a place that used to be a sewing shop. I'll try and get back to you on that. Also, there's a place at 680 High St., Kew called 'Abracardabra Roycroft', they stock some excellent old Records. Other places include a place at 212 Chapel St., South Yarra, and the darn name escapes me at the moment, will get back to you, then there's 'Carnegie Collectables', they've moved in recent years and can't for the life of me remember their new address, it's in North Road, Ormond I think. There's also this famous Footy Record collector from Melbourne, David Eastman, he has a website, I think it's www.footballrecords.freeservers.com, he'd be very interested in that, and he also knows tons of collectors who may also be interested. There's one memorabilia shop in Greensborough, and another in Cranbourne. I'll try and find some names and addresses for you. That would be a great buy for a collector, so hopefully I can be of assistance.

Hey man, no problems at all. Found the address for the Geelong memorabilia store, the place is called 'Sportznut', it is at 63 Garden Street, East Geelong. The phone number is 03 5229 8007, and their email is sportznut@bigpond.com 'Carnegie Collectables' is at 742 North Road, Ormond, and their phone number is (03) 9597 9147. Definitely have a look at that Records website I told you, and contact David Eastman, he'll definitely be keen to look at that. I understand geographically you are a way away from the places I've mentioned, so probably your best bet is trying to organize something with David, see how you go, hopefully you'll find someone who'll snap it up quick smart.
