Final Tips for a very hard round this week.

COLLINGWOOD to beat Essendon (comfortably)
SYDNEY to beat Melbourne (50-50)
HAWTHORN to beat Richmond (changed tip- tigers only have 5 day break)
ADELAIDE to beat Port Adelaide (60-40 and getting more confident)
KANGAROOS to beat Carlton (reasonably confident)
BRISBANE to beat Bulldogs (confident)
WEST COAST to beat Fremantle (reasonably confident)
ST KILDA to beat Geelong (50-50)

This week is a tipster's nightmare - 6 or better would be a dream result.

Same as yours macca23, except I went for Geelong. I am still p*ssed of at St. Kilda for their performance against Tigers plus King is a big factor against makeshift ruckman of the Saints.

The selection in this game is a nightmare. Neither are much chop at the moment, although both have potential.

You are 100% right about King - he should kill the Saints in ruck, but I think there's a lot more talent in the Saints team. Last year Geelong beat the Saints by 1 point with the Saints blowing it with innacurate kicking. Shades of last week.

Either selection can only be a hope - I'm hoping for the Saints.

i usually try to pick 1 upset per week (which probably explains why i never get 8/8).

Never pick any travelling team to win in Perth was the main one.

Also, in the last year never pick Carlton has worked for me, yet I picked them to beat Port.

And finally, when in doubt go with the home team. Clearly my pick of Melbourne was a poor one!

Got 3/3 today to struggle to 4/8. Sadly changed my early tip of Richmond to Hawthorn which cost me one and proves that early thoughts are the best.

I got 3/8. I hate getting less than 4!

I'll probably go Adelaide, Hawthorn, Sydney, Collingwood, Port Adelaide, Brisbane, Fremantle, St Kilda.

Whilst I'm undecided on Melbourne v West Coast. I'm leaning towards West Coast but I've been burnt a few times by tipping them in away matches so I'm not sure...

Same DaveW. I think the Weagles need to prove they can win one on the road b4 I'll give them another chance.

CARLTON to beat Hawthorn (Carlton is in better form and no Spider will hurt Hawks)
MELBOURNE to beat West Coast (If this was played in Perth I would have gone for WC. Went with the home team on 50-50 match)
COLLINGWOOD to beat Sydney (Pies lost 2 in a row but they are better than that. Pies' tall forwards to cause trouble for Swans' defence)
PORT ADELAIDE to beat Richmond (confident)
BRISBANE to beat Geelong (confident)
ST KILDA to beat Bulldogs (50-50)
FREMANTLE to beat Essendon (50-50, but went with the home team)

Another bloody hard round to pick. I hope I will improve on last weeks' 3/8 effort. Can anyone give me a margin for Crows Vs Roos match??????

I'm having second thoughts about tipping St Kilda to beat the Bulldogs. On form and talent it has to be St Kilda, but they might have that let down they often have after a win, and the Bulldogs may just be "due"...

With Milne out, the Bulldogs are a hell of a chance after a good showing against Brisbane last week Hardest game of the round to pick IMO.

I'm sticking with my tips from earlier in the week, though I have grave doubts about the Crows, especially if McLeod is out.

Have a strong feeling bout Weagles but will stick to Melbourne.

St Kilda vs Dogs is a bit of a toss up but will stick with the Sainters.

The more I look at this weeks draw the more I worry about my own tips... there are five games that look really even. I reckon the only teams that are close to certainties are Collingwood, Brisbane and Port Adelaide.
