The winner of the Westminster Kennel Club Best in Show yesterday was a 'real' dog for once instead of those overdone poodles.

Not only did he try and eat the microphone during an after competition interview, but when running into the arena for the final judging, it seemed he knew he was going to win and winked at the crowd :D

There are lots of other pics out there of him that are just as hilarious.

His name is Uno and he is the first Beagle to win Best in Show ever. So it's a pretty big deal in the dog world.

This was the dog that was the favourite to win

A US$2,000 toy Poodle that won the year before. At the age of 3 it's being retired and sent to live with it's owners in Japan.

Plus I love checking out their full names - there was a daschund that had the name Drag-Queen, a westie that was called Queen of Trouble (so apt for a westie)

People actually watch this junk?

I love dogs, but those over trained pampered buggers dont count as dogs to me. Give me a mutt that chases cats, and craps on the neighbours driveway any day over these toys.

If you had seen the video of Uno - he was hilarious barking at the Judges and howling at the crowd, he's a real dog unlike that toy thing.

What gets me, is that this is held in Madision Square Gardens each year, it's pretty close to a sell out for most sessions, live on TV and huge news in the US. Apparently dog owners spend thousands promoting their dogs over the year by paying money to the magazines for spreads about their dogs!

That's why I like this dog that won, the owners didn't do any of that crazy stuff.

I always check this competition out after watching the Christopher Guest movie Best in Show.

ha ha classic. I wondered where Ports finals mascot disappeared too..

He's just gorgeous. I love dog shows.

We have a friend who shows American Pit Bulls and we're always laughing about the prissy dogs and their prissy owners. The owners seem to always wear stillettos and have their boobs hanging out of their clothes to impress the judges.

Glad to see that the beagle had his own charm!
